+scarletfluerr happens all the time..I have neighbors who let their dogs and cats out and people just take them inside thinking they are stray...at least if they had of taken them to the shelter the families could find them but they don't they just assume that the animal is lost...this happened to my sister in-law cat she went outside then went missing a few weeks later the lady down her road had found her and gave her to another family.. my sister in-law kids go to same school as the lady who got the cat and they seen a post on their Facebook about their new cat...as soon as they asked about the cat they said the had it there whole lives...turns out the old lady who gave them the cat does this all the time..she has a notice on her yard that says any cats come through her yard she's trapping them and rehoming them..pretty messed up

+scarletfluerr let's just say my sister in-law is pretty devastated.. she loved her cat so did the kids..and extra hard knowing another family has her but they already called some authorities on it and they said they can't confirm 100% is Charmer so yeah tough for them...that's why I keep my animals very close

Angela Burse same here..both my cats are indoor and I take them on a leash to go outside for a walk ..I don't chain them up I just walk them around the block and take them back in...people think its funny to see a big lion cat walking like a dog on a leash! but he does..his name is Leo..he acts a lot like a dogs tbh its pretty cute! glad u keep yours inside..much much safer that way! :)

I don't like violence, but I'd punch that lady for trying to take my dog.

shout out to the woman who stood up for the young lady who seemed shy and timid. she had a LOT more patience than I would’ve for sure. I would’ve snatched my dog up so fast.

My daughter once brought home a very sickly stray cat. We took her to the vet and paid for her medical bills. She was chippped, so we contacted the owner who was an elderly woman. She was so grateful to have her cat back (she had lost her months esrlier). We started becoming attached to the sweet cat, but we knew returning her was the right thing to do. I'm glad this dog is back with her rightful owner.

thats no service dog... people use the term to lie and gain sympathy .. heres who needs service dogs those in wheel chairs that cant pick up or will pass out and die etc.. emotional support yea any dog will do that.. slapping a vest on is not a service dog.. first real service dogs are trained by the state your in your givin a vest by the state a tag with the dogs name location of training lenth of training dog name owner name age and service number isued by your state.. you have to be labeled disabled by the state to recieve one... and the dog must have the name tag with all that info located on him.. these dogs will not nip bite etc... i see them in home depot i see them in food stores.. first i use that cart your dog is shitting on and licking etc... my food they lick and have dirty feet.. keep your dog in the car or at home unless you have a real serive dog and no birds and no rats etc stores you need to be tough and deny the fake ones a dog does not belong in a store with you

Everything you mentioned...couldn't agree more! Our dogs also have GPS tags on their collars to keep track of them since we're on a large amount of heavily wooded acreage. Highly doubt anyone would attempt to take one here. There always someone that wants to FAFO!

The term "service" when referring to an animal used to mean something. It was a title given to animals that have actually been trained to perform the duties that their particular breed are best known for performing. (Seeing-eye dogs, seizure-anticipating dogs, drug-sniffing dogs, etc.) Hell, I once saw a dachshund sniff out a bag of* oranges that a woman was trying to bring from Costa Rica to the states. But, people have Really mucked up the system by putting "service animal" labels on pets simply bc they feel like their pets are "like their babies". People have Always loved their beloved pets. That doesn't mean anyone should have to give a fk that you can't travel without your damn 'service ferret'.

Emotional support animal are not service dogs and usually are not trained or recognized as service animals by law, most of them are just pets that people get a vest for or print out a certificate online that means nothing.

As far as the older lady goes, her face was priceless when the reporter showed her the FB post from Mouse's owner 5 months earlier. You can tell who the owner is just based off of reaction. The real owner is under distress of the situation and the old woman almost seems emotionless.

When the stranger says "She's gonna take her dog", she moves her hand in the direction of the rightful owner, motioning the direction in which the dog was to be taken. Plus, when she finishes speaking you can clearly see her eye turning to her right, in the direction of the rightful owner, meaning that previously she was looking either to the thief or even to the dog/space above it, since the first was refusing to make eye contact. To me, it's clear from this that she's confronting the thief and defending the rightful owner, which was also supported by the narrator of the news report (who certainly talked further with all of the involved).

There were real tears in crystals eyes when she got her dog❤

My grandmother as an adult was a retired nurse but not the nice kind. She was the type that popped pills on shift and got wasted when she got home. She could seem sweet and nice at times but had a real dark side and could get nasty when ticked. She passed away in 2016. Few people folks attended her wake.

Glad the owner got her dog back. This is a great reminder to have your pet microchipped in your name.

It's pretty obvious who the actuall owner really is. You can just see the difference in the dog with either women. With the old lady, he wasn't looking too enthusiastic, didn't look like he cared too much, but then with the black woman, his tail was wagging and he was licking her face, so i think the dog was hers before i even finished the video.

When I was ten my dog went missing for months. I finally saw someone walking him and i went to that persons door with my grandma and I even brought pictures of me with my dog and the lady wouldn’t give him to me. She lied even when we called the cops and made up 2 different stories on how she had him forever and he was hers. Nonetheless the cop said give the dog back to the little girl and everything you own that you bought for the dog 🐕. That cop was the best! I get that you may fall in love with a found dog but someone out there is devastated they lost their best friend especially a little child like I was…

My corgi dog got out lost and I found him chained in my neighbors backyard like he was theirs! I hopped right over that fence and stole him back!

The dog doesn't wag its tail when the old lady holds him... he licks and wags his tail when the young lady holds him..he's clearly her dog. Dogs never lie... body language says it all. Im so glad she got her dog back and mouse got his real mommy back.

I took my dog for a walk once and a woman said she was gorgeous then picked her up, my dog is really really small so she couldn’t get away, that’s when the woman undid the leash and took a few steps back. she turned around with my dog and I grabbed her back, it was so severely awkward I just took her and ran away 😭

Always carry a weapon when you walk your dog to defend against loose dogs who might attack your dog and against people like that woman. If weapons aren't your thing, get some pepper spray at the very least. Protect your dog at all costs. A dog is a person's soul and I would never allow anyone or anything to snatch that away from me. People are so cruel. I'm very glad your doggie is ok and that you still have her 💞❤️💕

I understand falling in love with a dog that’s found, but if their real owner comes looking, you give it back and ask nicely to stay in touch. How could anyone keep that pup from someone who obviously loves him so much, and he obviously loves back? That isn’t love for the animal. That is pure selfishness. I’m so glad she got him back. He needed to be home.

@@user-pt1cz4ot1e no. My Aussie ran away with a Corgi puppy. Both lovable dogs that someone could of scooped up but a very nice Samaritan picked them up and called me. Even tho I didn’t have the money at the time I saved and got him chipped. I don’t ever want to go thru that again!

The old lady is lying. Her daughter even friggin posted the whole story about finding Mouse, prior to this altercation. You can see how much love the black lady has for her furbaby.

@@susannah8342 That's not always a good thing. As the lady said, it had been a number of months since the dog went missing. Some dogs are just forgetful and in this situation would walk to the person they have been staying with for the last few months and feeding them during that time.

The old lady should be ashamed of herself. The young crying was for sure the owner.

Look at how the dog is with his owner compared to the other lady. The dog is so happy to be back with is Momma!

You can tell who the real owner is by the dogs body language, I’m glad Mouse made it home.

I'm not sure if this was bad news writing, bad camera work, bad editing or all of the above. I had to watch it 3 times to find out who really owned the dog.

The body language change between being held by his person vs a rando. He was so happy to be returned. I am grateful my dog is dramatic. She would have cried until we were reunited. I left for 6 month, then a year for service and everytime she missed me so much. I dont leave her anymore it breaks her heart.

Well- no tail wag when he's with the lady in the blue; full tail wag when he's with the lady in the black and green. He belongs to the black lady- hands down.

My small schnauzer also "went missing." One day I went to drop off some groceries we'd been given (by church) to our next door neighbor. I rang the door bell and our dog was inside her home! Jumping excitedly by the door! I knew it was our dog because she responded by her name 🙄, was happy to see me, and my mom had given her a bad hair cut. We never got her back 😥

Why would some lady she just met (who was probably there to get some food or go shopping), start walking with her like her BFF? She just said to the older woman, that the dog was not hers and it belonged to Krystal. You could see it by the hand gestures she was making.

You can tell how happy the dog is in the owner's arm. Even the dog is saying "This one. She is my mom". Some people in this world are disgusting. I do not know what's happening to the human race.

My heart goes out to this dear woman. Her baby. God that would hurt. And to have the racial tensions in the US on top of it all. She had to do everything very carefully because of it. I am so glad he is finally back with her. Bless them both. The woman who found him was obviously very attached too but simple and misguided. Hopefully her daughter would have stepped in and corrected this mistake eventually too. Bless the dog who was kind to everyone.

You could tell that the dog didn't really have any emotion or reacted to the older lady when being held by her. But once the younger girl held the dog, the dog was very happy. Tail was wagging and giving lots of kisses to her.

Just because two people live in the same neighborhood doesn't mean they knew each other. The original owner has anxiety which likely means she didn't get out much. Its likely the or4iginal post is true on-line. I've seen people who unwittingly end up with stolen dogs end up having a cold harsh reality when the real owner turns up, you can see one with a man and his dog on Judge Judy for example wherein the dog was instantly excited to see its human and the family who bought it at the mall knew it was over. Either way, the woman is attached the dog and gutted she is giving it up.

I found a stray in my yard, called the shelter and returned it to the owner who had called them about it. Later a man came by looking for the dog. He had found it and was going to keep it. He had a little boy with him, great role model.

@Blessand Prayforme well keeping an animal in a shelter is expensive. 250$ is the cost of the medical needs they received when coming to the shelter, and shelters are generally non lucrative associations, which means they need money input, and donations are often not enough bc people prefer to give money to help humans than animals So yes, if you want a pet with updated vaccins, with a microship, and everything, you have to pay a certain amount of money If you take a kitten you have to pay it yourself, in shelter they're doing it for you

The kind of adult who picks a fight with a fresh 10 year old

Some old lady down the street from me kept trying to lure my cats to her house. She would feed them food and offer them toys and try to get them to come inside. She sent us a two page long handwritten letter about how she would like to "get to know the cats' personalities". One day one of my cats goes fucking missing. It turns out the bat shit crazy lady brought him to the vet claiming he was hers and wanted to get him microchipped with her info. Well the old hag didn't know it was our vet and he called my mother saying that she had brought our cat in and he was in a lot of distress (yowling and hissing in the cage she stuffed him in). My mom had to leave work to confront the bitch and my cat instantly calmed down when my mom got to him. The lady started screaming at her but thankfully my vet threatened to call the police and and verify it was our cat. That shut her up pretty quick. I hate old people who think they can just take other people's animals.

Wow..... we have a lady like that in our neighborhood. She is CRAZY! She’s always watching our dog and cats. One day my dog went missing. We looked everywhere and called her name. It’s really not like her because my dog always responds to us. We went in front of the old lady’s house and then when we were walking home,my dog came sprinting over to us. Ok the way they told this was confusing so I summarized it. Crystal was the original owner and she had lost her service dog. The old lady Linda found the dog, but she lied and said she had got the dog from a local shopping center, but that was a lie because her own daughter made a Facebook post saying they found the dog on the street and were looking for the owner. It's obvious though when you see the two different women holding the dog and even speaking about him. The old lady was like yeah this dog is cool it picks up my shit for me 😑 and the real owner was actually emotional and crying. You could tell she loved this dog and the dog loved her. But my question is..who tf is that lady in the "Slumerican" shirt and who tf is she talking to? Same thing happened with my brother. They chased him saying our German shepard mix was theirs. When my brother reached our home he called our dad. He was pissed this guy had the nerve. We asked them what was the dogs sex then? They stopped for a moment and guessed male. My dad the proceeded to lift up Aki and reveal she was indeed a girl. They then look at her realizing she is a mix a backs off. People have no shame.

My friend did this last year. The neighbor behind her would not give her dog back. She begged for her kids sake and NOPE NOTHING. So, she waited till she walked him & she drove up unhooked the leash, took her dog and hopped back in the car.

Just get your pet chipped! End of argument & can sue the crap out of the thief

The dog’s tail is literally only wagging when he’s being held by the original owner. Ridiculous.

that older woman... ugh. it makes me so upset. im sorry she has special needs, but it's not okay to take a lost dog. especially an anxiety service dog. that's like... stealing someone else's prescription and justifying it by saying you need the prescription meds. the way the older woman was grasping at straws, scratching the dog while the young lady held him... ugh. disgusting.
