    The fact that Logan has fought in the American Civil War, WW1, WW2, and Vietnam is crazy in the comics Storm says this about Logan “ for a man whose life and past is surrounded by death I’ve never met a man who cherishes life like he does. “ the life that Logan lived he easily could’ve gone crazy like Victor but he kept to his morals and integrity and is a good man

    The "bear part" was not dumb. It was adapted from the specific Comics that this story is adapting. It shows that no matter how far Logan runs from his grief and the world that caused it, he can not escape the code of honor he is driven by. These dumb ass hunters went out looking for deer and stumbled upon the bear and shot it with illegal poisoned arrows. They were then too drunk or lazy to track down the bear and finish it off. The bear went mad from the poison, killed other campers, and then attacked the hunters, leaving one cowardly survivor. After putting down the wounded bear, Logan decided to deliver justice to the loser, who started this sad state of affairs. This is the first scene demonstrating that Logan is a ronin. A Samurai without a master, in search of purpose again.

    So it isn't true that the dumb bear got itself arrowed by dumb hunters? Dumb wolverine was like, "Us animals stick together, after euthanizing the dumb bear? I hear that's allegedly what happened. I'm not sure who to believe anymore.

    First appearing in Captain America 110 in 1969, Ophelia Sarkissian aka Viper, was a snake themed assassin who utilized various poisons and mastered many forms of martial arts, whilst being immune to poisons and toxins herself. One of the deadliest assassins in the world, she often found herself an enemy of the Avengers, the X-Men, Wolverine and Captain America. She was also a high ranking member of Hydra, and was at one point the leader of the Serpent Society, a group of snake themed mutants, mercenaries and assassins for hire.

    Surprising he hasn't pursued any animal themed chicks in these films. Wolverine needs to find a hero chick or a toxic, co-dependent relationship with a female villain he's trying to convince to be a hero. Then Deadpool has a drink with him at a bar and tells him to break up with Black Mamba, or whomever.

It was hinted at in X 1 where Scott ask him, "well what do you prefer? yellow spandex?" a nod to the comic accurate costume. 50:11 There's actually a deleted scene where Yukio hands Wolverine a suitcase which he opens up on the table in front of him revealing his iconic outfit and mask. It's the Yellow & Tan outfit my personal favourite Wolverine outfit and suits with this film being based on Wolverines solo run during the 1980s where he wore that same outfit while adventuring throughout Japan. If you look up The Wolverine deleted scene you should be able to find the scene.

    You didn't really miss anything, other than comics... Wolverine did spend time in Japan in the comics where he met and fell in love with Mariko. He had to leave her behind in Japan for reasons of plot... this all happened in the comics in 1979ish, before the Dark Phoenix saga in the comics early in 1980. Mariko was killed in the comics later on when the X-Men came to Japan after the first Secret Wars in 1984ish... Those stories had much more depth than a 2 hour movie has time to explore... and the Silver Samurai is actually a very interesting character in the comics... they did it dirty here

  • @testfire3000

    @testfire3000

    As with any two hour movie adaptation of any book or comic book series. There is just no way to cram everything into one film. However, I think they did much better in this movie than they did in X-3 where they did Dark Phoenix dirty by trying to make two major story lines into a single film. Those could have each been a great movie on their own. Instead it was one mediocre film.

    6:45-6:51 Logan's character by the nature of his very mutation is quite *feral* or animalistic in his behavior; so he relates to wild life in many ways and shares a sort of spiritual kinship with predatory animals (i.e. wolves, bears, etc.) which helps to explain Logan's motivations when it came to the scene involving the bear. Those scenes help to illustrate the connection that Logan has with wild life in general, which I'm certain has been explored within the comics making it a significant detail to focus in on.

    So im not sure theyll do it in the movie but Logan has been killed a few times in comics. One of the ways was they covered him in adamantiun ( like when viserys got his golden crown in GOT) and when it cooled he suffocated. I think itd be pretty great to see but i doubt it.

    I can't wait until you guys get to "Logan" it's arguably the best X-Men movie and one of the best "superhero" movies period.

    Fun facts. The Japanese would never have let out prisoners of war for such a reason, they treated prisoners as animals and never in a million years would have let them out of their prisons due to an attack. Prisoners were slave labor for the Japanese, 4 out of 10 died in such prison camps. I remember the first time watching the movie long ago and laughing at the sillyness of them trying to portray the Japanese in WW2 as "honorable".
