Music as superb as this gives the spirit to keep strong-the irony of jazz baltic-and these arrangements affirm our intelligence as a species- play with Life! Thank you all of you that put this diamond in the sky....

I seriously like this trombonistic bassically grooving thing.

I was listening to this group for the first time. However, I feel very nostalgic. (Especially some ballad.) In the near future, new fellow I will be added to the my CD shelf. ;-)

Hey John - this is the NDR - Nord-Deutsch - no Dutch - actually German !!! - and one of the Best - and agree with you - BBC Big Band should try more - depends not on the musicians but on the conductors and at least the arrangers - I think - better believe - but this band is great yes yes yes

Den upplaga av Hector Bingert Latin Lovers All Stars vi hör var speciellt sammansatt för det här tillfället med Hector Bingert och Magnus Lindgren som båda spelar sax, flöjt och klarinett. Arnold Rodriguez spelar keyboard, Daniel Bingert, Hectors spelar 6-strängad basgitarr och percussion, Teddy Walter kontrabas, Magnus Persson trummor och Juan Romero spelar percussion. Anledningen till den här unika All Star upplagan av Latin Lovers var framför allt attfira gruppens 25-årsjubileum. Festivalen blev möjligheten. Konserten och firandet ägde alltså rum på Blå Station i Åhus den 6 oktober 2005. Musiken som vanligt i jazz-candombe rytmernas tecken. Camdombe är en rytm från Uruguay och där är är också Hector Bingert född. I slutet på 50-talet, då bara 15 år gammal, satt han i saxsektionen i bandet som backade upp Nat King Cole och Sammy Davis Jr. på deras Sydamerikaturné. Första gången han kom till Sverige var med legendariska Lecuana Cuban Boys 1968 - och han bosatte sig här i mitten av 70-talet.Nu talar ryktet om att han är på väg att återvända hem till Uruguay.

I wish our BBC Big Band was as experimental as this Dutch group. We have some great musicians but the arranging is trite.

Agree absolutely re. BBC, but the band is from North German Radio in Hamburg and stonkingly good. If this was a UK band most of the solos would be for Alto Sax, a superb instrument but over favoured in Britain.
