Sarah in the 1st part of the vedio and in the last step how have u written OH2+?.....From where did another H+ come to protonate OH?? As we know the reaction proceeds in the presence of N2H4 and H2O2, action of OH- wil be there to remove the H and form H2O ,but no hydrogen is available in the medium..Plz go through it Sarah,I'm getting confused in it...

Sarah Chem should I, like remember the mechanism or just what the products are obtained ?
@sarahchem4219
6 жыл бұрын
I think that depends a little on the exam and how you learn best. I think mechanisms are one of the most helpful ways to understand product formation and kinetics. That being said, it is really important to be able to predict a product without having to go through the whole mechanism every time. I typically used the mechanism as a tool to understand what was happening and the reasoning behind a specific products formation and then made sure that I was able to predict the product of a given reaction without having to run through it. Not sure if that helps...

I asked a friend, who took the JEE, how he studied for the organic section. He said he used Paula Bruice's textbook. He said knowing the mechanisms was helpful because it more than just predicting products. Best wishes on your preparation.

Are you able to play the video more slowly through your video player? Sometimes you can change the speed - that might help to slow the pace of the video down :-)
