@@samiyamoon8593 This wonderful ghazal was written when the news of the fall of Dhaka reached the poet on the 16th of December 1971. Woh Humsafar was East Pakistan, sadly.

@@princeali3290 It was written by him when he got the news that East Pakistan has separated from Pakistan ,and formed Bangladesh which was because of the conflict between politicians .And dictators who didn't gave East Pakistan its rights .The fall of Dhaka was a trauma for the people of Pakistan .He was also crying while writing this ghazal . He has seen Bangladesh as "Humsafar".Anyways may our Bengali brothers have a happy and prosperous country and life .The people of Pakistan still see you as our brothers .

I live at sylhet district of Bangladesh.Bro sylhet is only distict of BD that in 1947 we vote for pakistan and joined with pk but sad news that pakistan became at reason of muslim mejority but the leader of that time was secular thats why 1971 we separated .Also main reason u alo said that west pakistan leader dont gave East Pakistan its rights.

@@amanelghani5683 I know that , that's why I've said this is much more relatable to 1947 .Basis of separating pak itself is worthless as india has much more Muslim population than pak who is much backward than india n is incapable of providing basic amenities to its people.

As a Pakistani, I really feel and relate with your comment. I wish the Partition never happened. And if it did, I wish my grandfather stayed in Delhi instead of moving to Karachi. One day I will visit India to re-connect with my roots.

@@sohansingh97 I don't know honestly, thing is, my grandfather passed away when I was still a kid, and the trauma of the partition and the misgovernance of the Pakistani politicians that led to Dhaka fall, all of that trauma and disappointment in the country he had sacrificed so much for combined..he kind of went silent towards his older years and would not speak with anyone. I do not recall him having a conversation with anyone besides for basic necessities. He turned into a strict ascetic.

وہ ہمسفر تھا مگر اس سے ہمنوائی نہ تھی کہ دھوپ چھاؤں کا عالم رہا جدائی نہ تھی نہ اپنا رنج نہ اپنا دکھ نہ اوروں کا ملال شبِ فراق کبھی ہم نے یوں گنوائی نہ تھی محبتوں کا سفر کچھ اس طرح بھی گزرا تھا شکستہ دل تھے مسافر شکستہ پائی نہ تھی عداوتیں تھیں ، تغافل تھا، رنجشیں تھیں بہت بچھڑنے والے میں سب کچھ تھا ، بے وفائی نہ تھی بچھڑتے وقت ان آنکھوں میں تھی ہماری غزل غزل بھی وہ جو کسی کو ابھی سنائی نہ تھی کبھی یہ حال کہ دونوں میں یک دلی تھی بہت کبھی یہ مرحلہ جیسے کہ آشنائی نہ تھی عجیب ہوتی ہے راہِ سخن بھی دیکھ نصیر وہاں بھی آ گئے آخر جہاں رسائی نہ تھی شاعر : نصیر ترابی

Dhaka didn't fall but actually Pakistan politically and militarily both way fall down and surrender in Dhaka but Dhaka didn't. It was the rise of Dhaka. Thanks almighty Bangladesh has been saved from colonial setup of Pakistan in 1971. Otherwise Bangladesh would have been situation like as baluchistan or Afghanistan

It was our stupid army Generals who always impose their will on masses, and named it as the best interest of nation, as existing situation nowadays in Pakistan and they have completely lost their credibility among common Pakistanis,
