Eleazar Gomez not rivals, but it’s exponentially faster.

I might be wrong, but WaDi's Deep Breathing is what saved him from Elegant's last 0-death combo. Deep Breathing has a damage reduction multiplier of 0.9, which means without Deep Breathing, Wadi would've been almost 8% higher at 76.2 rather than 68.8 when the 0-death had finished, which might've been enough to kill WaDi. I might be wrong, but its amazing how a small mechanic made a difference. Fantastic match.

WTF has a good amount of combo starters: Bury combos Up tilt combos Soccer ball combos and set ups Back hit of grounded fair combos Down throw and up throw combos Forward throw combos with deep breathing only Back hit of ftilt combos into itself and bair Falling up air on bigs Even sun salutation combos But yes the nair combos into every single move wtf has except down smash lol. Wadi will optimize with more practice, he’s only been seriously playing ultimate wft for a few weeks

if you look at the percents for both of the luigi grab combos, notice that due to staling the second combo did 14% less damage. It wasn't just the up-b that did less, in fact the up b would have killed, but all of the combo moves that lead into it were stale as well so that when the up-b landed he was around 12 percent less damage than on the previous stock.

Doesn't a move get "staling" if used consecutively? If Elegant had spammed Up B, wouldn't it do less damage? Pretty sure Deep Breathing was the huge factor.

To people who are confused why WaDi survived the 2nd 0-to-death, deep breathing makes him heavier

WaDi so patient he deadass playing like a Wii Fit instructor, he's got the rythm figured out and hes got aaaall the time in the world, no rushing.

Really good announcers, made the match very enjoyable.

Keep on fighting, Elegant. You inspire me a lot to become a better Luigi main every time. Very well played, Wadi. Both players put on an awesome combat.

Wii Fit is slept on as both a character AND Top Tier Husabndo/Waifu material

Love Elegant, but it’s hard to be sympathetic when you’re banking on 2 zero to death combos to win you the set. Good set from both of them.

Well most Luigi’s have trouble hitting them on training mode with a bot that isn’t moving. It’s incredibly hard to hit against people on that level he’s playing against, along with 2 lucky DI reads

Elegant was doing what he had to. He took the combo where he could get it, but wasn't relying on it. The only reason he went for 2 in a row was because he needed the comeback. And the only reason he needed the comeback is that he's so used to Cyclone out of combos, that WaDi could exploit that in every single game of the set.

The 0-death combo ain't easy, especially when you're trying to read their sdi and just doing the combo in general. I think wii fit is also one of the character that the combo is harder to pull of on

I like Luigi a lot, but a combo that takes u from 0 to death (while cool looking) is such BS. Its hype the first few times, but honestly after that effect wares off it just feels broken.

Hey, at what percent does that down throw to super jump punch combo works for luigi, and does that combo works on everyone or just certain characters? Thanks in advance, been trying to learn luigi and was looking for some super jump punch combos if there are any

Elegant lost because he got desperate. He didn’t take into account his stale moves like up-b and down air, and Deep Breathing helps WFT survive just a little bit more.

the luigi was doing a zair with his plunger meaning that he released it from the gun or whatever, so it doen grab. He basically let go of the plunger in order to try and set up for an actual grab, which he ended up doing

Deep breathing doesnt cause damage reduction, just increased power and knockback.

Faggen Abler depends on the situation. Dthrow up B is true on Falco 71% before the combo for example

I’ve wanted to main Luigi since before Ultimate even came out but he just feels so strange to me. Wish I had those elegant skills

PAC-Man, Wii Fit, Ganondorf, Palutena, and R.O.B are making huge strides in their Meta While Cloud and Bayo’s metas lie dead in the water. (At least compared to their unparalleled use before.) This is the good timeline. (I also like how Elegant is loyal to his main.)

@MAR'TE jenkins Bro I main Pac and I can confirm that if you know his setups and his gimmicks he is a beast. There are some crazy pro Pac-Man montages out there.I highly reccomend giving them a watch, they are insane.

Worth noting that when Luigi failed to kill WFT at about the 6 min mark, they attribute it to the healing of Deep Breathing, but DB also reduces how much damage WFT receives by 10% (lower damage also means reduced knockback).

When Luigi's second 0-to-death attempt fails around the 12 min mark might be because of DB also... And at the end of the last match definitely because of DB.

Elegant has got to be the most stubborn top player. Dude has like 8+ years of smash experience under his belt and STILL refuses to adapt. He just brute forces his way into occasional wins rather than swallowing his pride and learning from his mistakes.
