Got my new a959b on Fri., broke it by Sat. Wrecked the wrong way, broke the frame where the SS pin inserts, for suspension pivoting. But DANG that car is wicked fast!!! Replacement parts are on the way. Great vids Kev, I bought it because of them. Thanx!!!

Watch out the motor burns out easy I only had 4 runs with mine now it's dead the motor gets too hot melts the cooling runs inside the motor then it burns out😡

Check out the WLToys 10428 and 12428. They're clones of the Vaterra Twin Hammers rock racer, so they've got crawler-style straight axles out back and independent suspension up front. The 1/10 scale one has a hi/lo transfer case, and out of the box only goes like 15mph but it's a fun balance between a crawler and a basher. I'm swapping out the electronics so I can run it on 3s which should be good for 20-25mph (fast enough in something this tippy) and going brushless when I want to break things.

How does that transmission hold up ? I just bought one ebay apparently upgraded to metal parts

Your a959-b lasted a long time before breaking in my opinion Mine had a very unfortunate episode, it hit a sloped curb and had a head on collision with a small tree. Wasn’t even going full speed. Ripped the front shock tower off of the gearbox cover, making both unusable. Spare gearbox cover on the way along with a shock tower metal upgrade. Oh yeah, it happend on my second run

We sell these at my hobbystore. It is incredible at the speed and strength of these cars. they take an absolute beating and are DIRT CHEAP!!! The first time i saw them i was like, "yea sure, itll probably smash to pieces" BUT THEY DONT!!! replacement parts are super cheap and easy to order, and even though it's an all in one ESC, its still something i would consider hobby grade! Mental! i hope they make little to no changes on this car for a long time... Maybe a brushless ver? :O

You can get all metal kits for them too gears frame the hole bit. Best upgrade is the gears and transmitter with gyro receiver

They're pretty good but the servo ruins it, non standard shape and a real pain to get a hobby one to fit. You can take the control board out of a hobby servo and connect it to the potentiometer and motor of the stock servo but it's a lot of hassle for such a cheap truck. There are some pretty decent modded ones out there and they are good for the money but the WLToys is much easier to mod and upgrade.

He should get a virhuck $40....it;s basically a Fy03 with metal body panels. It has metal differental and slipper CLutch..You can easuly drop in 2845 3000KV...It'll pop wheelies on the 22T pinion..it'll do over 40 mph on 3S.. it's basically a 1/12 UDR or Yati. It's one of the best selling cheap r/C on the market...just like the 1/18 wltoys They made millions of them...that's why it's only $40, now. MH servo is $7,,Rx $7...60A brushless esc $15..motor $12 Or the 1/10 scale.($100) it's built exactly like the 1/12 Fy03... A 3650 3300 KN is only $18

Can you try replacing the ESC and motor and running 6s on it that would be so fun lol

Looks like a fun car you just beat the hell up and not care but I think it's too small for my normal bash spot. My spot needs a good bit of suspension travel and big tires.

I think it's funny that it's called a skatepark but the skaters are completely surrounded by RC cars 😂

You should get a axial yeti score for the Chanel I would love to see it I know there discontinued but there is still some to buy off websites

You should do a comparison with the latrax models.

Totally agree it took a beating especially for the price. I dont think you would want to do that with your UDR and do not think it would take that abuse without breaking either.

Killed my A959-B on the first outing. Bit surprised actually as I'd seen this video before buying... Frontal impact, not crazy quick, and the front end snapped right off... Almost wondering if it had a production flaw where it's cracked 🤔 Fun while it's running though. Have two non "B" models for the kids too 😊

Does the controller have a place to hold your mobile phone or what it is that you’re using?
