I must be old fashioned because I think it's a lovely and very polite thing when a man stands up when a woman comes into the room. I think we've lost a lot of nice customs that reminded people how to treat one another. Now we don't have those things and as a result, it's easier to forget and the results are self evident.

Women became offended about so much--even polite gestures like holding a door open. Not me, though. I say thank you every time someone does this and will continue to do so. You're not old fashioned....you're genteel and I'm happy to know guys like you still exist. 👍

I used to stand on the bus or subway and give my seat to women. Then the movement came and over time all the things a gentlemen could do disappeared. So only on a date.

That was before evil feminists started yelling & throwing tantrums about how they don't need men & destroying everything, including Women's Liberation 🙄 I love & adore true gentlemen

You're right. It's polite . I was proud the first time a gentleman stood up for me. Although I always thankful whenever someone holds the door for me. But did feel old wthe first. time calls me 'mam iam

I agree but the consequences of that was very unpopular for the the right wing. It was deemed to progressive. WKRP was too smart for the general audience. I also felt it irritated many of the rising group of fundamentalists in the early eighties.

Also, nobody seems to know how to dress anymore either. Fedderman dressing in sweats hasn't helped any. But, at least his mind has come back.😅

Damn this was a good show. Why don't they make them like this anymore? They'd have a bigger audience than they think.

Older men with wives in their same age range strikes me as odd in today’s society. Not a bonus.
