I'd say more of a transmission difference. The 8hp70 shifts very quickly and has closer ratios

Yes first dig was launch control , second dig was foot brake

They just came out with the adapter plate for us WK1 guys to run the 8speed should be one hell of a run now a days 🔥

Noooo it's not just the tune it's also the 5 speed it shifts a 120 into 5th pulls through all 5. With the wk2 they spit out 1-4 fast fall on there face ant 100 an shift to 5th and then shift out the last 3 relatively slowly 8 speed transmissions are good for highway gas mileage you want a rocket keep the 5 speed

Hows the AWD/4x4 on the WK1 SRT? It seems like this is the main reason for going with a WK1 model. I drive a 2005 WK 5.7 and it’s great off road and in winter, I can only imagine the WK2 is worse for non-paved/icy snowy roads.

Stock box with a drop in I believe. With a custom snorkel grabbing air from the lower front grill

Driver mod in the wk1

So which is really faster im thinking of getting a wk1 but i want a wk2 for body style

Video tells it all . From a dig the wk2 lost straight up. From a roll the wk1 lost straight up. The wk2 was completely stock as well and IMO worth the interior and exterior

Use launch control and the WK2 would win the digs as well.

50hp more in the WK2 does not compensate for the extra 300lbs that is weighs more than the wk1.
