Regarding your fire vs life debate, I think you too are crazy. Fire is a much better pve solo school because it's damage stats far outclass life. Damage, pierce, and critical are all better on a fire wizard, so that 100 base damage difference on the rank 7 spells means absolutely nothing when put into practice. *Have the same level fire and life wizard using a full set of their level's dungeon gear and let's see whose spell does more up front damage.

I will not stand for this scrutiny of Ice. I'll see to it you die a slow, painful death... Because we know it won't be a One-turn KO...

Death can reliably solo every fight in the game without much deviation from the normal formula, Storm has to adapt heavily and it is still a race to one shot the enemy in that situation

Storm is no where near s tier, highest damage means nothing if the enemies get first turn an kill you cause you have the lowest health. I'm a life main and storms always ask for help questing, deaths don't.

Reasons ice is my only maxed school: 1- ice is tanky 2- shields are broken 3- ignore those other two, the only right answer is ICE GO BRRR 🥶

Agreed! There are a few schools that are a rough run until you get that rank 7 AOE (Life & Death also unless you buy lore spells). At least Balance gets a decent rank 4! :)

Storm is one of the best, if used by someone who knows the game better. For newer players storm would be very difficult initially due to low resists and health. Death is purely the best because it is super accessible to any player, new or experienced.

Ice always catching strays even when talking about other schools has me dead LOL

As an ice main, I would say ice is higher than life if you don't have lore spells. And if you don't care for questing fast, it's probably B or even A tier. It can tank hits while it sets up, it can go from mob fight to mob fight without needing to heal, and it has a 4 pip AoE that doesn't require farming bosses or breeding a pet. It does have it's struggles, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't say its the worse

I'd say life is better regardless since forest lord is goated. I've solo quested all 7 of my wizards through Arc 2 after the major spell audit and I found life and balance surprisingly easy. I'd actually put life as close to death in terms of the difficulty of soloing.

Counterpoint, if storm misses they're screwed. Death also ignores both the set damage armor that bosses and mobs love to spam as well as is completely uneffected by any healing debuffs like doom and gloom. They might not be able to do 15k first round but they are literally the only school that spam hits and beat basically 99% of the game short of like polymorph fights. It's not even close

Death is very very OP. Probably the hardest school in the game to kill, even over Ice & Life, because Death heals up as it attacks. Storm's Damage output is second to none. Its pretty much a question of if you want to play quick & dangerous, or slower & guaranteed win!

I think if myth had the option of different types of minions it would be better. Types as in for ex. an egg minion will only heal. All cards in deck revolve around healing. A bloodbat is support so just blades and shields the caster and a troll is mainly attack. I think that would be a viable fix knowing what spells your minion will use instead of having an entire second deck on your screen so you can choose what spell the minion uses

I have never went back and watched a youtubers backlog of videos. This content is just immaculate.

As a fire main who never really uses feints (sacrilegious I know ) and shield/blade stacks to work with the DOT mechanics I’ll fight for fire to be higher on the list. We do also have heal backs so I’d say it’s equivalent to death for solo gameplay at least. Plus if you’re SOL with a fire boss you have prisms and can easily stack those with the DOT’s and you’re golden. Anyways, just discovered you guys and I’ve been binge watching your videos I love your dynamic and your commentary, keep it up ❤

Power Link is NOT a substitute for Death's lifesteal mechanic. Power Link is garbage, it's 4 pips and it barely heals you for anything.

Myth and Ice are pretty hard countered by basic bosses later on, since stuns are a big part of their mechanics Myth does fine damage sure, but what makes it any better than a school like fire or storm once you ignore stuns or minions? Nothing, all identity of the school is lost into being a storm/fire clone

If you get your archmastery high enough, you CAN use ship of fools round one, every time. It just requires that archmastery to get there. Death is my main, and NOTHING has compared to it in terms of PVE for me.

As an ice wizard I really don’t get the dislike of it. Do I do the crazy damage that fire/storm/death can do? No, but that’s not how I want to play. I don’t have to worry at all about running out of potions, running out of health, and I’m able to solo as I play through the story. I’m not sure I could solo as easily as someone as squishy like fire or storm.

​@@GymLeaderIcyice is my favorite class too. Very very rarely even gets halfway low on health in battles and I rarely ever have to heal either. And that's without tower shields. I can just focus on setup for an attack spell and win in one-two attacks no trouble. And don't have to use the potions between most fights. My other wizards, I have to watch that health bar. Still working on my strategies for the other schools tbh cause what works on my Ice doesn't work on them and I forget that sometimes :P

Death has 0 risk of death. Storm has risk. Death is Top 1 PvE School. braindead gameplay, I love it so much. But I am really interested in making a Storm.

Just got recommended this video after I watched some channel named alexander lionheart solo some crazy bosses as ice. The juxtaposition is wild.

None of my Wizards have gotten through Celestia yet… Except for my Death, who I recently got to Karamelle, and May complete that soon. My Fire is level 49, and my other Wizards are level 48. I’m trying to get the rest of my Wizards to level 50 before I reach Celestia indefinitely.

Ice has my favorite spell animations but they basically heal the enemy

It makes us happy that you like the vids, we have lots of cool ideas coming up! We call these shirts our "Tech Uniforms", we aren't fancy enough to have actual merch (yet), but we wanted to match. lol

I would argue death is the best even above storm. Death doesn't only have amazing hit alls, but they're all drains. They also got sacrifice, plagues, jujus, feint, dark pact, etc. I just think overall death is easily at the top, they can easily solo most content if not all in the game as well thanks to drains. Storm is still up there with death

Death solos everything in the game with zero skill. Aura and bubble then drain spam ship of fools and crow. It also has good utility for teams. Death should be S++ tier

storm is a better hitter than death but death is the best pve school. it has the second highest damage and drains are busted. also it’s the best utility school in the game because of juju, plague, virulent plague, and dark pact. storm is my favorite to play on tho

DRAINS ARE OP!! I think for Storm / Death it could be that Death is #1 for Solo or Duo, and Storm is #1 for when you have a 3 / 4 person team.

that’s fair, but when 130 was max having a death to juju spam was almost necessary for storm titan and devourer. fights aren’t really like that anymore tho, so death definitely isn’t as important for a team as it used to be

Fire is a very good school! It is used to defeat some of the hardest fights in the game (Storm Titan / Renegade Druid)

Main problem with the 15k storm dmg is you are negating the biggest weakness of storm in its accuracy being the lowest in the game. Now you may cast 4 tempest. You may fizzle 4 tempest. For deaths favor, it is strong against life and balance, myth too from what i have noticed later on. That's 3 of the 7 schools death is strong against. Death honestly imo works as a just as good if not better tank than ice. A deaths health may dwindle but one scarecrow spell later you are practically max health again. As mentioned you dont need yo waste training points on feint cuz you will get it anyway and no points needed for life since yours spells will heal you anyway. Storm is the best damage but it works best with another school to heal/support it. Death is the jack of all trades one man army.

with my solo death i havent died (belloq does not count x_x) since i got clockworks gear because drains are crazy

As someone who's mained Ice since the early days of Wiz even I can agree that Ice is in a rather super low point in the current patch of Wiz because of constant damage nerfs. Frost Giant used to do 700 damage as an AOE back then, then Ratbeard comes along to nerf it to 460, with the stun still there though also getting rid of the unique animation of him breathing that nasty cold breath of his(is a good change to speed the spell up but it's w/e at this point). As a proposal sort of buff or rework to frost giant either buff the damage to at least a flat 500 and stun, or make it a hit and shield since that's something ice is known for(even as shields start to lose value once you get past Darkmoor and Polaris because of Pierce on every enemy) so at the very least a hit and shield you're still getting SOME value in a boss fight as an Ice, but then at that point just use bottom path Reindeer Knight for the same output for lesser pips. Also watch as I'm saying this right now Ratbeard is consulting in the circle for the next spell audit to make Spellements for the 7 pip AOE spells and do something outragous for the second path option on those, they already tried to do a divide damage on aoe which gave them major backlash before.

If we are talking SOLO PVE, balance can suck my massive nuts. It actually pains me how difficult it is to solo quest with balance, even more so when u run into a balance boss from the level range of 80-100. Because unless u use treasure cards ur only option is hydra, and it just doesnt do enough damage at that point anymore to be worth it. Also idk why balance prism is level 130

The new updates for dual-schooling have been really helpful thanks to the Archmastery pips, but I think it’s still a little too convoluted hitting with another school’s rank 7. If Ice just got a good Frost Giant buff, I’d be happy and content with everything else it does bad, but until then, I think it’s helpless lol!!

I have seen some people using Storm hits on an Ice wizard in PVP. They used Storm Mastery amulet / Arch Mastery pips. Seemed to work alright. Not sure for questing though!

If it is pvp you get your archmastery pip every round... so arch mastery doesn't affect soloing

I have all schools max except life and can honestly say: Fire indeed second worst school after ice the only saving grace for both of them is the dragoon amulet and myth for me is on par with storm because damage is comparable but the surviveability is way up, also, Death is king.

What saddens me is how shit ice has become. It was never a hard hitting school, but it had reindeer which was so worth it to play as an ice pre archmastery. But post archmastery my ice feels so, so weak, and betting on a school pip is so annoying

lets use the same logic if there are 4 storms and 4 deaths questing how many times do you think the storms are getting stuck vs the death. in my opinion the deaths first try damn near everything

but ICE has Freeze ray,snowball barrage and Abominable Weaver and Fire has Detonate and Myth is the best for summon if you got monsterology and earthquake that breaks all buffs and shields its good for bosses that stacks shields which is better then balances hydras and balance seems more like a support then life school with all the shields and buffs i only like it cause the enemys dont got shields unless its tower shield for me Life is better cause its Tankier has so many heals and all you need is a pet called Kookaburra that gives LeafStorm Death i like cause of Deer Knight and storm has Sound of Musicology,Dark & Stormy,Glowbug Squall,Tempest and for heals its BEARY SURPRISE

Kore and Boar much more focus on reliable and fast boss runs during PvE, which is very much hampered by ice and many other school reliance on shad pips. In your average run without insane techs the disparities between schools wont be as noticable

for new players watching/seeing this , every school is good . pick what you think looks fun and interesting

Myth is the worst school to face when fighting a boss! I'm always worried I'm gonna set up and get Earthquaked the round I try to hit :/

Here's the real tier list if you are going pve I'm not bias I have every wiz max and love all of them for different reasons. Tier S death, life I don't want want to hear about lord until later 3/4 The game it's OP only 4 worlds you gotta wait to get it. Tier A Balance ,storm Tier B myth Tier c fire Tier d ice. Side note pve is important but some of yalls argument is spells you don't learn to 120 plus you're almost done with pve. Also mass feint can be used by anyone mass feint and all of these schools can mob wipe after round 2. I'm considering solo and as a team for my rankings.

Ice is low numbers but it scales pretty high you just need good stats. So late game 💀💀

Honestly i do enjoy all schools except ice. They did ice so dirty. I have 5 max (in order of when i got max: Storm, Death, Life, Ice 😭, and recently myth) wizards. My balance is level 124 in mirage (currently working on to max) and fire is level 105 in khrysalis. Death is def my all time favorite but i do love all schools minus ice.

As a solo player, Storm is fun, but I always have to rely on insane bolt or something to clutch out a win against a boss. I don't have the defense/health to survive otherwise. Death on the other hand does and has heals tied into their damage which is just better than flat out healing. In a one-to-one comparison, death is better. But in a team comparison, storm should always win.

As someone with all schools over lvl 100 at minimum, death is the best by far

If we talking solo death is easy number 1, storm has a hard time soloing some of the more difficult bosses, death can solo devourer, in terms of speed yes a team of 4 storms spamming tempest can round 1 kill basically any fight, but how often will you realistically have a team of 4 storms, and how long did you wait on team up for help, death is the best PvE school hands down and thats not even considering utility such as bad juju

A few notes about things I personally disagree with in the video Holy moly he doesnt view fire as very reliable. I have a max fire and seeing it below life doesn't sit right with me. Yes, there is a problem with initial hits but if your whole strategy revolves around feints you're most likely a solo. I rank based on if the schools are in a team fight where supporting each other is included. On this note, I'm actually gonna move Life up seeing as the school is getting better and better as I level it up. Same for balance. Sharpened bladestorm spam with an enchanted armament = op as hell Tempest is mediocre as a main hit. It's typically best used as a combo hit after something like Sirens and Storm Lord. School pips are an issue, and as death and life you need to run the highest archmastery you can *until max, where you adjust jewels and archmastery decks as needed Where storm and death are meh (namely the Manticore Aeon boss) fire is very solid. Each school has great uses (excluding ice) in different areas and it's fun to go around battling and seeing which school does the best and where

Myth is super strong, and minions are only ever used in PVP! It also helps Myth that most of the later bosses in the game are Storm, so they get that extra boost in those hard fights. No other school can compete with Myth & Storm with their rank 7 AOE damage output!!!! :)

As a fire main the feint argument is BOGUS! they make up for the damage lost from the faints with the blades they use. Not only that but the base damage of fire dragon is already insane. plus they use meteor for the majority of the game anyway (not a d.o.t.) fire is S tier with death. Try and argue with me. You can't, I'm right.
