I know im a little late but i have played a lot of this game and one trick i could give you is to go in circles around the room to group all the enemies and then strike. While on a mini boss room lure the boss to one side of the room and then go to the oposite side and kill the enemies there away from the boss. Hope this helps

I found it easiest to beat the first time by asking the card guy to randomize my cards, item, and cloak so you can try out a bunch of different arcana and learn how to work with the ones you have, while trying out some new ones you wouldn’t normally have selected.

This game is very hard but I’m hooked on it. I won’t stop until I have victory over the chaos trials. This was helpful since I’ve only gotten to the 3rd boss and never all the way to the end.

This was the best quick start description of this game that I have found so far.

a special note about the pvp in this game, while there isn't an in game matchmaking system, the community has created a way to play matches across the whole world, and the best part is you don't even need to own the game. all you need is discord and steam to play, using steam remote play we've been able to have many fun pvp tournaments and casual matches. if any of you reading this are interested search up Wizard of Legend League on KZread to learn more

When you kill enemies they'll occasionally drop green orbs, if the ghost picks enough of them up, they can press a and come back

Great intro man. Appreciate the overview.

Also there are some merchants before you start the trials that either give an advantage or just change the order of the trials for example: one of them give you 200 starting gold for 15 gems

The grind in this game is real. I played all evening long and still don’t have enough gems to buy another outfit. But I do like the game. It is promising.

The review was great and everything yoy said was correct but i have to disagree on doctor song: when you reach stage 3-1or higher you surely have full arcana set and 1 extra so you can get 75 healing of her for one arcana (if you dont have extra healing robe) also if you have vampire glasses and she gives the pill of crits you basically have health steal

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the one, the only.... BladeRunner! Thank you so much for sharing your higher level knowledge! I didn’t think about it, but Blade is right. Once you have an extra arcana laying around in your inventory, it will be much more worth it to trade with doctor song. After the trade you can just replace whatever arcana you lost with what you have in your extra arcana storage slot.

Seriously would really like to see online co-OP added to this game or even a playthrough co-op but also what spells would be recommended for people going through chaos trials having trouble completing but made it to 3-3 with no long range spells/arcana so ganna try adding one into my set seriously this video alone was good but comments have helped too thank! Cant wait to check out rest of videos on this game really hoping to see a co-op playthrough me and my girlfriend cant get past 2-2 together

My favorite loadout atm is: ROBE: Shift Robe (though im trying to improve so I probably will switch to Awe down the line, once my dodging is better) RELIC: Graduation Cap (Still got a lot of stuff to unlock, so additional crystals are nice; for actual runs I'd probably try Captain's Ring) BASIC: Stone Shot DASH: Wave Front STANDARD: Tearing Whirlwind SIGNATURE: Blazing Lariat Fighting Style: I usually try to get the enemies close enough to eachother that I can hit them all and pull them in with the whirlwind and follow that up with the lariat, during down times I keep the enemies at bay with the stone shots.

Ahh yes! I’m glad you went to this video after checking out my review! I was hoping this guide would be helpful for people who watched the review. Good luck in the chaos trails if you decide to get the game!

If you use the frost feint and the use a constant damage attack it might freeze the bad guy by the frost feint and do a lot of damage I have a new strategy for the start if you use a constant damage attack and the vampire eyeglasses and the Awe costume ( it will help the critical become more frequent ) the way this works is that you will gain health with every critical ( if you use this try getting stuff that helps the critical rate become higher)

Is it possible to carry more than just one relic? I just started playing this on PS4 and I can’t even clear a dungeon with this current build. And it’s hard to purchase new items since I can’t keep what I’ve obtained in the dungeon once I die.

I never heard of this game before but this game seems so interesting. Do you know what consoles this game is on or is it only for PC?

No matter what I do, what I have, where I go, how perfect my positioning is, getting hit and stun locked instantly is completely unavoidable and cannot be countered or escaped I hate that I'm addicted to this game, it's stressful. Tho I don't get angry over things which I cannot have control over. It's only a matter of time before I finish completing it and it lets me kill the final boss. I've collected everything I could so far

I like using shock assault because it gives you a bunch of invincibility frames. Another really strong spell is dragon blast because it can push enemies into pits and also deals a lot of damage. I don’t have any set builds that I find myself using over and over, but having one spell that you can always rely on will carry you pretty far.

This game is soooo punishing, but soooo addictive

How tf do I deal with level 3 strafe archer??? Even after beating the game I still fumble when I beat him. My main problem is that his guard is down for very little little time and he summons more dudes. I always go with a tectonic drill crit build btw

How do people get enhanced arcana before starting 1-1? I keep seeing it In speedruns and I’m confused

Is there any reason to use the starting wind melee arcana? Or is it just intentionally weak because you start with it for free?

It’s intentionally pretty weak, but it’s actually still not that bad. It’s pretty fast, and the hit box is big enough to catch multiple enemies if your positioning is on point. The upgraded version can negate projectiles too. It’s hard to use effectively, but far from useless.

Right, some item descriptions end with “required for the [item name.]” Once you have the two required items, they will automatically be combined into the one new item. Thank you again for sharing your expertise with us, my friend!

Just take the spells that you have the most fun with. The elements are all pretty well balanced so it won’t really matter which you choose. I will say that earth felt pretty weak to me so maybe just stay away from that element if you want to be using the strongest spells.

Please help. I've done multiple runs and beaten one of the council members only to not have the venture cloak not appear in the shop. At first I thought it was a glitch, but it's happened three times now and I can't figure out where I'm going wrong.

Have you tried purchasing the other cloaks in the shop? The Venture cloak becomes available after defeating your first council member, but I think you can only buy it after you’ve also bought some of the basic cloaks.

I figured it out. The council member I kept beating, by chance, was the wind guy. He's the only one that doesn't count towards the unlock. I beat the fire boss last night and suddenly it turned up. I noticed I got an achievement from the latter and not the former.

What are the general play style differences in all the elements?

Each of the elements can be played many different ways depending on exactly what spells you have, but here are some of their strengths: A lot of wind spells push targets away and can dunk enemies into pits. Lightning attacks hit many times which gives a lot of critical hit chances. Water has some spells which give a shield that absorb attacks. Earth hits really hard all at once but is slow. Fire hits hard too, but their spells are usually faster than earth’s making dodging while fighting easier with fire.

You can calibrate the sticks to eliminate stick drift if you go into the system settings!

There is no paid dlc for this game! The updates for new spells and other features can be downloaded for free just by updating the game.

I have signature build, its strong but my dodge skill are unaffected

Yes. I’ve never played hyper light drifter before, but I’ve seen enough full reviews of the game to know that both games have similar gameplay. However, Hyper Light has a story, puzzles, and roadblocks. Wizard of Legend is just your standard rougelike affaire focused almost entirely on action gameplay.

The gameplay is very similar to hyper light drifter, as well as the art style, to some extent. The difference is that this game can get repetitive. You play through the same dungeons over and over again, but in hyper light drifter there is a large map to explore.

I don't like top down games at all but man ive been eyeing this game for so long and almost bought it like 10 times and I just can't get myself to do it because I feel like im gonna get bored in the world itself. Idk someone please talk me into buying this.

Defeating the final boss, Master Sura will grant you one super over powered chaos arcana. I only have one of them myself.
