i have the base. the buckles on the base are absolutely horrendous. they should have gone with he straps and buckles from the FR SL. these buckles have no business being on a nearly 1k euro boot. for instance, i snapped the the cuff strap on my second session 10 minutes in. good thing that the guys from loco are awesome and sent me a new one immediately. the boot itself is incredible, materials, design and fit is just unparalleled. actually the first boot where my right foot big toe doesn't hurt after an hour in them. the wizard guys should send source the velcro straps with the at the very least, as an alternative to the buckles.

I made that mistake on UFR switching strap to buckle and it snapped in 5 sessions. I went to strap. If u r wizard skating ratchet buckle is a flawed design. Strap is what needed for wizard

My only complaints on these boots are very minor... 1) I've found that the little black bubble cover that covers the connector part of the 45 strap needed to be superglued on because I kept loosing it, it would time to time fall off. 2) I really with it would have the carry strap as part of the inner cuff area like other skates have instead of only having the finger strap on the liner itself. Other than those 'problems' the boots are the perfect boot for me. Well worth the price. I agree on the break-in period of a week or two.

That little bubble always falls off. I have no idea why it's even there... One fell off my FR1 skates after I had them for like 2 days. The buckles seem to be the only complaint from others so far as far as i'm aware. Glad you are enjoying the skates. Thanks for the comment!
How does it compare to CJ carbon gutted?

I have absolutely no idea. I've skated the CJ Prime but not the carbon. Jaro and Kallista haven't either. Hopefully someone out there knows the answer.
I'm mostly interested in that high cuff. No comments about it. :\
