Even in tiny rural towns. It will gt worse because the country is collapsing (as it has been, slowly for quite awhile) and when that happens, increasing numbers of people become angry with no idea why, and increasing numbers of those become highly mentally unstable and will lash out at anything and anyone in all sorts of ways.

I live in Benton Arkansas. This really hits home..

I live 10 minutes from the store where the little 3-yr-old child was murdered 2 weeks ago. These random killings all over the US are scary. I went to a very crowded local classic car show/festival on Saturday, and stayed extra alert, looking a little closer at people and occasionally thinking about escape plans and "what ifs". I felt sad for doing that, but..... Schools, stores, parades, churches, theaters, parking lots, universities, malls, festivals, workplaces.... Can happen anywhere anytime to anybody.

From the interview in this video it doesn't sound like this retired cop ever saw the shooter, only heard the shots. It sounds like he was in a nearby building and was focused on getting people into the building to safety. Concealed weapons holders and retired cops without radio contact with active cops shouldn't run into active shootings. That's how they get mistaken for the shooter and shot by the responding officers. Carrying a concealed weapon doesn't mean you go charging towards gunshots when you hear them to defend who ever may be getting shot. If something of that nature were to happen in front of the concealed weapon holder then they can respond to prevent grave bodily harm or death. Running into a situation trying to be the hero can get you into legal trouble and can also get you killed especially when you don't know how many shooters there may be. Then God decided his creation was not going to be able to defeat sin without a Savior. That Savior was not born if Adams lineage He was born a sinless man from a virgin human. She obeyed the law. He found her worthy to hear HIS son to give humankind an avenue to be worthy enough to join him in heaven. Now, for the rest of the story! Christ was fully God and fully man. He had the capability to sin but did not even though ye was tempted by satan. He bore "our" sins (no skin color involved) so that we had a way to spend "eternal" life in heaven with Him. It is not dependent on skin color,religion, or ethnic background. Only believing in him as the Son of God. I pray for this country and every individual in it. The one thing that would save this world, this world rejects, just like they did throughout biblical history. We have to live in this world. We do not have to be part of the problem. Quit using race as an excuse for unholy behavior. This will all come to an end. That also has been prophesied well before Christ. It is now being fulfilled mire and more each day.

It is my understanding from the Arkansas State Police, that armed citizens were key in both protecting civilians and apprehending the killer.
