💥 WITNESS the MADNESS of the NORTH BELFAST DERBY!

Спорт

I visited Seaview Stadium to watch Crusaders v Cliftonville in the Northern Irish Premiership.
These two teams contest the North Belfast derby. This is genuinely one of the best football matches I've ever been to. It had everything; scraps, goals, drama and a great atmosphere!

Watched it on Sky. Great game. The Irish League deserve more recognition and our English clubs should consider playing some pre season games there. Imagine the gate revenue these Irish clubs receive when plenty of away fans cross the Irish sea to watch their teams play at very unique football grounds. It's not the football, the country is beautiful and the hospitality is second to none. I know too well as I visited in 2018. Crusaders, Cliftonville, Glentoran, Linfield, Ballymena, Coleraine etc would benefit greatly welcoming clubs from the other side of the Irish sea.

Definitely, the number of fans from here that go across the water to man u,Liverpool, Chelsea and others, which takes money out of local cash struck clubs. On top of that they take any promising young players without any transfer fees, and then just dump them if don't make grade. Needs to be more of the vast wealth at the top of PLand SPL filter down to rest of sport at grassroots

Probably your best video I have watched of yours so far, two teams and a league I know very little about. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Proper football. Nail on head when talking about value for money. What people who only watch champions league/ Prem teams on the tv don’t get is that football doesn’t have to be played at elite level to be entertaining. As long as it is competitive and there is something at stake. That is why it is the global game. And watching a game in a stadium is always far superior to watching a game on tv. Sod paying hundreds of pounds to watch a game of football.

From what I've seen of football on the island of Ireland it looks like a very good day out. Although the standard might not be as high as in the Spanish league, occasionally one will get to see a player who will be spotted and will sign for a PL or Championship club. My brother lives in France and Zidane started his playing career at his local club which was in the 3rd or 4th tier.

Would there be a crowd like on a regular game of the Belfast clubs when they would play higher again? Does Larne have a derby? What do the supporters of the clubs in Northern Ireland think about the fact that Linfield tries to be a little Rangers FC? Isn´t it harming the football of NI? Great video mate! The only issue I have with the Irish league is that the standards are very different in the top flight. As of now Coleraine who are sitting 6th are 20 points ahead of 7th place Carrick, it’s essentially two leagues in one and it’s been that way for a while. I don’t know why it is but the top six have a oligopoly at the moment, maybe it’s to do with finances and how those top six clubs are run. Nonetheless I still enjoy suffering as a Portadown fan while watching the Irish league 😂🤦‍♂️

Brent Peters (Bacup Borough in the 10th tier of England) is the longest serving manager in the world I believe having managed there since 1998. Will be making a video on him shortly too!

Could you perhaps visit stadiums in France? Marseille has a good atmosphere, Lens is a tiny town with a full decent size stadium, Monaco is a unique city with a unique stadium (plus i really want to see the stade louis ii) and psg is psg.

Hiya Sam, you look nothing like Kevin De Bruyne , It was like watching Leeds Utd against Chelsea in the 70s, I always want the home team to win, but I was happy with a draw, good game, I cant believe it wasn't a full house 2 clubs being so close to each other, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
