So we should expect to see you build this in the 1.21 live-streams, right? 😄 Great tutorial! I like bringing a sunflower and block of dirt since they always point east to find the spawn direction.

Great tutorial! Also, there are resource packs that show where mobs spawn, this is useful for finding spawn spots!

Cool video, but a couple of things: 1. North is negative Z direction and West is negative X direction (you said the opposite, though it does not affect the outcome of Northwest direction). 2. There are ways to make 1 dimensional fortress farms faster other than playing on a higher simulation distance, most notably by using faster trident killers (ex. minecart trapdoor tks).

Last time I made one of these farms, I found out that the best place to look for was an area that has a lot of corridors running parallel and really close to each other as you got more spawns in corridors (not sure if that's still the same, I'll try to find the world and leave it in a comment to this post). The hard part with this one is that you need to remove the walls and roof of all the corridors as some of the spawning spots will intersect walls and be blocked...... so its a fair amount more work then just using the bridges. I think I tested 4 or 5 sections while in creator mode and was getting pretty quick by the last one. The extra work definitely pays off as I had close to 30 spawn spots, so double what prowl had!!!!! I also got insanely lucky and had mostly lava under the farm so I hardly had to do any spawn prevention. I will say that Prowl probably built his whole setup in less then a quarter of the time it took me as I had to flatten all of the walls and roofs of the corridors 🤣 Awesome tutorial, thanks Prowl 😊👍👍👍👍👍

Just a hint for players building in survival - if you carry your supplies in a shulker, say as a project box, you may want to place said project box within a cobblestone structure so ghasts can't blow it up....🤣 Great build Prowl! Need to update my manual one to this.

Crawling has made the glass pane method so much easier for marking spots. And spawn proofing with lava outside of the farm area is so much cheaper and easier than slabbing

So I am pretty much a newb, but I'm trying to learn everything that I can as fast as possible. But for the life of me I cant figure out why you would want this many wither skulls. If this question is stupid then I apolgize. Im actually trying to learn so that in turn I can teach my grandson. Hes very young yet, but incredibly, incredibly smart. He actually started off teaching me the "basics". But he LOVES to learn and I love to teach him. So if anyone can help an old woman (52) with this and give me any other build ideas, it would be much appreciated. Ive made a few farms now. Big thanks to Prowl. From what I've seen online you are THE best teacher for any kind of build!

Hello old man here too...(52).. the wither skulls is for summoning the wither boss so you can fight it and get a wither star so you are able to make beacons... wich help you with all kinds of things...😊

Most people don't need enough to make a farm for, but a lot of people, especially those playing on myltiplayer servers do want a lot.

I plan on using this to make a wither farm so I can have pretty beacons for building!

One thing viewers may want to know is how to collect wither roses. There are farms you can build, but those are rough for beginners, as they involve trapping a wither. So which comes first? The wither skull farm, or the wither rose farm? ;) My non-expert suggestion for beginners would be to breed up a bunch of animals and scatter them around the area you're going to spawn the wither in for the first time. Tether them to fence posts to keep them in place. I suspect if you gather them all in one area it won't create roses for each one. Then as you fight the wither, run around through your livestock so they get hit with blasts and drop roses. Collect them after the fight.

I prefer to bring a bunch of livestock into the ocean for my wither roses, as the water protects them after the roses drop as items.

@@danielwise5998 Does that mean you have to fight the wither from the water? Or just lure it into shooting out into the water? Could you flood a plain and get the same result?

@@MasterTMO when the wither charges, he destroys water blocks, so flooding a plain doesn't work as well second stage. I usually buy a platform one block below the surface I can walk around and shoot my bow. I also utilize a riptide trident for quicker movement when the second stage hits

OMG!!! via chunkbase I just found a beautiful 90% fully exposed, above lava fortress 🤩🤩🤩 these are dreams are made of. you probably put in 2-3 fortress farms here. This tutorial is perfect for the fortress I found

The commands actually works .finally 😅 your the 🐐

You can put glass panes part by part. Example you Finish the north side and remove the glass pane and place in South side to check for spawn spot.

Hey prowl I think you made an oversight in the new update coming out probably pretty soon mobs will spam in the middle of the block so this will break the farm won’t it

As of now the change is only to naturally spawning mobs, which structure mobs are not a part of. If this changes, I should be able to make a slight modification to the chambers to fix it.

hey prowl ... great farm easy and fun to build ...but im having a slight issue they dont seem to want to get pushed over to the killing chamber ...i have the glass block on the third block up over their heads but its not pushing them ...any suggestions ??? thanks and have a great day ...

Just a heads up I heard from a silent whisper video that mojang are changing mob spawning mobs will be spawning in the centre of blocks instead of the corner this could break this farm because they won't fall but instead have their head inside the glass block

As of right now that change does not effect structure spawns like fortresses, witch huts, and outposts. If they change this, the modules would only require light modification

Great tutorial but the hardest part is to find a good nether fortress 😔 I never got a good seed to build these types of nether farm😭

The upcoming change does not affect any structure spawned mob. Only "natural" spawning, such as mobs at night and in caves. This farm, and any other bedrock nether fortress farm, will still work as intended after the update

What's the advantage to this system as opposed to one that just has a central killing chamber with a piglin in a chest boat to draw the wither skeletons in? Because this seems way more expensive and tedious to setup

The biggest advantage is to farms that aren't near a crimson forest or nether waste, as transporting a piglins can be tedious. This also can be more versatile if you're doing a couple hallways, as a piglin based farm is most efficient when you have a couple crossroads. Both farms have their place, it just depends on what kind of fortress you have and what biomes it covers

The first number (X) is East/West. Z is South/North

I still have pigmen spawning on the wither roses. Is there no way to stop that? Is it just bugged?

my wither skeletons are just standing stuck in the glass? ive built it as shown, also made sure to be on the north/west side of spawning blocks, any answers or anyone know how to fix?

It will, the new mob spawning mechanic update is just for natural mob spawning, and doesn't impact structure spawns, such as pillager outposts, witch huts, and nether fortresses

@@Skye-Violet-Snow not as of right now. I know some KZreadrs have speculated that they will do that eventually, but if they do it won't be any time soon. The only change currently happening is changing spawning from the corner to the middle of the block (like it is in Java) for mobs that aren't tied to a specific spawn location

Could you not just replace the spawn platforms with netherack and just spam wither roses so only wither skeletons can spawn and draw them I. With turtle eggs Into a single kill chamber?

Wither skeletons don't aggro turtle eggs, but there are many videos on farms using a piglin to aggro them. You're still better off finding the spawn spots though, as spamming the whole area will take hundreds of roses

This would be much slower for Bedrock as time to kill is the most important thing due to the limited mob cap

Foxy no tails pack doesn’t work and from my investigation, it is currently broken and he has no intention to fix it anytime soon😕

I did mine in an area with a lot of netherack surrounding the bridges but i did all the buttons on a 44x44 grid from top down and there are still piglins spawning. Additonally im only getting one spawn point to work which is only spawning skeletons and blazes but i checked the crrative copy of the world and found all the wither skeleton spawns. Someone help me?

As a followup, i changed my farm to have it built like in the video with the drop zone being focused on the North West corner and i even did the spectator mode thing to see if there were any caves. I did find some and filled those up with buttons but zombie piglins still spawned in even when i used the resource pack to show me the borders. I left the farm running overnight and only got piglin loot from a few spots but no fortress mob loot. This farm is either too complicated or wrong

Spectator mode is a vanilla setting, but you can't access it without turning cheats on in a world.

Now just need the wither killer.

Check out the silentwhisper video from a few months ago where he showed spots at bedrock in the overworld that are auto wither killer spots. There are 3 or 4 right at about 0, 0, -64 that are handy to use!
