It did erase itself from the series. And i'm talking about canon characters. But forget Perfect Chaos, bad choice of mine; Metal Sonic is no doubt the most destructive and evil; him being the closest to killing Sonic and he keeps coming back

The best thing about this remix is that the beats line up perfectly with each other. You don't get that in a lot of Sonic remixes.

I actually haven't heard either of these songs before and before I looked at the comments I didn't realize it was a mashup I guess that's how you know it's a good mashup, when it successfully fools someone who hasn't heard either song before into thinking that this is the original song

I keep forgetting that this song isn't official and is actually a mashup The lyrics fit Mephiles perfectly so i never really think twice about it And the music doesn't conflict much at all with the vocals

@@rockneon978 Late response, but it's a mashup of the End of the World level themes from Sonic 06, and the Crush 40 version of With Me from Sonic and the Black Knight.

This is one of those mashups that once you hear, you can never hear the tracks individually ever again, they're pretty much ment for eachother

Wow, now that's a lot of nostalgia, haven't heard this mashup in 8 years, wow

I honestly don't know much about Sonic 06 apart from the Fandub and a bunch of AMV's I watched as a kid, but Mephiles is super cool

I shiver to imagine what "better" entails.

Mephiles is my fave sonic villain!

I agree. With many enemies it's just "what's his motivation?" and the answer is "he's a robot"! But Mephiles, Mephiles has depth, he is smart and cunning and has character development. Do an '06 remake, SEGA!! (just don't mess it up like last time)

+thenameisAaron I know I'm a couple years late to the party, but I really think I should say this. I read a fan fiction that was supposedly an AU of our world where Sonic '06 was remade in 2008. Soleana (according to the new dialogue spoken by the now Elise the Phoenix) is a city on the same little planet from Sonic CD.

Well the midfle of thr song with me had the words every world will have it end and the oyhet song is called end of the world

I think the lyrics totally make sense to the song it mashes up to, because both of the story's purpose has to do with ending / forever continuing time. Now combine this with the Time Eater!

There it is. Finally found it again. I downloaded this on a very old computer (the fate of which I don't know) a long time ago and forgot the name. Remembered the song today completely randomly and discovered that I still very vividly remember the lyrics. Even though it's just a mix of two songs, this version will forever be the definitive one in my eyes. Thank you.

Here is a scenario that would fit this song: In this game's penultimate boss battle, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rogue, Omega, and Silver are in a desperate struggle against Mephiles as they fight to obtain the Chaos Emeralds and save Sonic.

ive been a huge sonic fan for years i listen to all of Crush 40's songs and only until now ive heard of this song

These were literally some pf my favorite pArts of the soundtracks of both games. You did an amazing job timing movement from one section of EotW to another. The drums, my god, I put my volume a little louder to get even more of the chills I feel when I hear bass and drums mix like that! Outstanding job!

How come all of these fit so well 7/10

Did anyone ever consider maybe Lancelot was a reformed Mephiles trying to atone for his crimes, finding himself in this dying world, and taking up the mantle of a Knight of the Round Table, and the only reason it looks and sounds like Shadow is because he feared being recognized and disguised himself accordingly? But that's just my theory, a Game Theory! Thanks for reading! LAWL

+Libby Innes I think you mean...... 20% Cooler! LAWL!!!! It kinda makes sense though. He's already taken Shadow's form in '06, and he was essentially thrown through time and space after Solaris's defeat, and even someone as evil-genius as Eggman can still be nice, as seen in the SA2 credits. I theorize that the Time Eater is his second attempt to kill Sonic by using Eggman as his tool again, but he fails. After three failed attempts, he's gotta be sick of trying, being smarter than Eggman he'll actually quit, and ends up in King Arthur's court. It might also explain why Silver and Blaze are there, and maybe Secret Rings is more connected too. After all, Mephiles is basically a godling with time-space powers, he could've been the one who told Sharah and Merlina about Sonic, and only *played* dumb in Black Knight!

That is... Really clever. Oh what if the ifrit in the secret rings relates to iblis which would explain why it would want to kill sonic? And maybe Sarah or whatever her name has some mere representation to Elise?

+Libby Innes Wow! I almost forgot about Ifrit, but it works! Both of them are beings of fire and destruction, and Iblis is just as immortal as Mephiles. There's also the dragon in Black Knight! Maybe Iblis changed too! He could've agreed to be the test of worthiness for those challenged by the Lady of the Lake! He also could've shaped himself into Knuckle's form and been Gawain. Those three were alive long enough ago to have seen the Echidna tribe. That just leaves Solaris, who could just as easily been the force behind Erazor Djinn/Alf Wayla Waa Layla! He could've then become Percival/Blaze, as well as augmenting Merlina's power for the final battle as a test for Sonic and Excalibur to unlock their true might!

+Nathan Dean oh yes I'm loving this theory I'm thinking at the end of Silver's story in 06 blaze is transported into another dimension, right? This could be the Black night dimension. Also taking Solaris into consideration Lancelot in legend is the adopted sort of child of the lady of the lake... So Lancelot would've known about Excalibur... Solaris literally means light and when we see Excalibur it is literally a beam of light! And come to think about it Amy ( who has the lady of the lakes form) had a deep connection with Elise in 06 and Elise was one of the main reasons iblis and Mephiles were created because her father looked away from what he was doing to pay attention to her... So possibly the lady of the lake had some connection? Also in the legends Gallahad (who silver takes role as) is Lancelot's son in the legend which may represent the bond between Mephiles and silver. And Iblis probably did have something to do with Gavian (I think that's how you spell it) knuckles acts a lot more hot-headed (no pun intended) toward sonic and how he only attacks with raw power instead of thinking it through, which is iblis' purpose as the physical side of Solaris. So he wouldn't be likely to think it through.( Man this theory is so cool btw )

The only good things about sonic 06 is the soundtrack and mephiles imagine being the first one who killed sonic but being in the worst game…

holy shit this a surprisingly good mash-up, never wouldve even thought to put these two songs together! :D EDIT: heres a nice little title: End the World with Me. suiting since killing Sonic essentially caused the end of the world (in the alternate timeline anyway), Mephiles tried to convince Shadow to join him to terrorize humanity, and Mephiles tried to trick Silver into causing the end of the world by killing Sonic

@ike6252 well it really depends on the song itself. using adobe audition 3, i can reduce or raise the volume of the mono sound (in this case, the vocals, bass guitar, and drums) and then i take that edit and put it into audacity where i can accurately sync the music

This is awesome. It's kind of interesting that, despite the enthusiastic tone in the original song, the actual lyrics are the kind you'd play for the villain, not the hero. And now, I can listen to the song as it would play for a nihilistic final boss.

I know, but the song, following the tradition of other Sonic end-boss themes, is actually centered on Sonic. Merlina's whole goal is that she doesn't want to accept that Camelot will come to an end one day, making her the person the singer is addressing, not actually the singer. So it's kind of interesting that the singer, Sonic, is talking about his "evil plans."

Mephiles is so awsome. Almost like Shadow's twin. Only thing what scares me are his eyes (not crystal form) and that he hasen't got mouth (in crystal form doesn't have nose neither) but he speaks... Creepy... But he is awesome!
