He encourages playing just the big beats to feel the rhythm, plays steadily, and then mangles that rhythm with the sped-up 16th notes. To be clear, I don't mind the sped-up 16ths as a stylistic choice, but then let's not pretend that we are holding the dance rhythm as core...

To me, this feels very ‘dancy’… I guess one can’t argue about how music feels to different people; but to me the faster 16th notes in between the strong beats don’t at all impede my sense of dance, of movement, in this piece. It’s an interesting point to make and draw attention to, though…
