Well Emerald is older, but Jade is a little bit quieter but she seems to be coming out of her shell. As a Father with 2 daughters a bit older than these young women I could not be prouder. Good luck in the future to you and all your family

What a great adventure! A Family adventure to boot! Everyone is just doing their thing and taking care of business. Love those raw wood display stands! One of the many adventures I have had was working for few years in the wood/lumber bussiness. Started by doing tree trimming, then clearing land & selling south Texas mesquite wood to a sawmill in Bulverde Texas back in the 80's. I later went to work in the saw mill for my friend Jimmy Butcher. He had bought about 10 old 1920's US Navy heavy duty wood processing machines and rebuilt them. They were just beautiful and they worked like a dream. I had a great time milling mesquite ,cedar, cypress & oak and then building furniture, briefcases & neat looking things. I enjoyed the work and the people I worked with during those times. It was exciting and I liked the smell of sawdust & fresh cut wood. It was really cool to be able to select a tree, fell it, run it through the mill machines, dry it and then, use it to build a project you had in mind for that wood. Y'all are all living that life right now! I am greatly appreciative of the work you do in bring us into y'all's world. To me, yall ARE what America is all about. Or what it should be about. Building a family bussiness. Living & working & enjoying the fruits of all y'all's labor & efforts. By golly, it makes my old soul feel really good to watch & listen to everything going on with all of you. Keep up the good works. Oh ya, hey, love seeing those work hardened hands you girls display! WOW, That’s pretty cool. You could probably sell a lot of smaller pieces to the home craftsman. For small tables,shelves,chopping blocks.stuff like that. In a country family, everyone works the family business. Usually if no family business, the wife is involved with community events. I love small towns and being country. The Christian saying goes, idle hands are the devils works.

Looks like a warm and inviting shop. When my son was milling the unusual (natural) shapes sold for big money.

I could imagine having an original "Jaded Emerald" table, with that characteristic mizer sawblade pattern.

Congrats on the expanded shop! A little trivia: Abraham Lincoln, in his youth, split fence posts from Black Locust trees. Personally, I can't imagine this. I hand split about 9-10 chords of wood every year, and have for the past 42 years. I have also milled some Black Locust. It is extremely hard wood.

I like both Em and Jade in front of and behind the camera. There seems to be much space behind the showrooms in the Hard Wood showroom building. Is it that space temperature controlled??? If so, can you can rent some of it for your top hardwood. But, that is not something for now, I suppose. When the cabinet makers come in to pick up their orders, ask them about the knobs and door handles their customers want maybe it would be worth adding to the line, and maybe not. You seem very busy with all that you do now. I love to see all the new avenues your business has taken since I started watching. Go with God.

The knobs and door handles would be next door in the hardware store. However I did suggest that they buy the whole building and the hardware business as well!

I've been a long time follower of the channel, and it is encouraging to see you branching out into the value-added area . I did much the same many years ago, but am now retired and have no further need of my equipment, which has served me well for many years. I have a turn of the 20th century J.A. Fay and Egan 30" planer that really needs to be busy. These were top of the line tools in their day, weighs about 3 tone, 6" 3-knife 7000 rpm cutterhead, 30" table width, 6-1/2 thickness capacity, long inlet and outlet tables with plenty of load capacity, and is powered by a separate 15 hp motor. I suspect it was originally powered by an overhead line shaft, so it could be powered by any rotary source. These tools have an online following, although most of them are smaller than this one. This is one screaming monster. We have Amish around here that many of them have mills, but they really don't seem to be looking further than pine and storage buildings in ramshackle shelters. Can be had very reasonably. Just FYI. Enjoy the posts.
