Aw! I thought I would see some witch splitting!

I LOVE HOW YOU MADE IT SCARY FOR HALLOWEEN BY SPELLING IT LIKE WITCH

Two of the simple wedge design have always worked for me. Hickory and white oak are hard to split and better to use hydraulics. You can swing a sledge!

Just in time for Halloween !!! 🧹🧹🧹

If I was a witch, I wouldn't know which wedge was which!

Thanks i actually bought this for some huge trunks like this and having lil trouble. So think i need to double wedge it. Other vids show spitting small logs.

Yay! That long one is the one I bought. Glad it won. Now I just need to use it.

Sir, The first wedge should have been sited closer to the outer edge of the log. You may have seen better results.

Untrue, green wood is easier to split. Dry rounds often cause wedges to get lost half way thru a split.

Green is easier

I use two wedges, but also use a large crowbar which helps once I get the crack started. Either way it’s a lot of hard work.🙂

I like your effort, but you need to let the wood season before splitting. I can see water squeezing out around the wedges.
