Wise Children's WUTHERING HEIGHTS @ The Wallis
In a production shot through with music, dance, passion, and hope, Emma Rice (Brief Encounter, Tristan & Yseult) transforms Emily Brontë’s masterpiece into an intoxicating story of revenge for our time. Rescued from the Liverpool docks as a child, Heathcliff is taken to live at Wuthering Heights, where he finds a kindred spirit in Catherine, and a fierce love ignites. When they are forced apart, a brutal chain of events is unleashed.

This really deserves to be released as a film of the performance. Stunning.
I saw this production yesterday afternoon at the Holland Festival at the De La Mar Theatre! Thank you for the brilliant performance from every cast member and the band. It was captivating and electric, and the stage design was every changing; my eyes never left it! I was moved to tears twice by the powerful acting and laughed so much that even today, I feel thrilled by my experience! So creative on every level; I can't wait to see another performance from this group!
That “moors” song is catchy!! Got my tix for Jan 2023 in LA!
Looking forward to seeing this!
