I'm loving the idea of moving to a qb focused offense. I been wanting it for years.

Wisconsin football is the pride of not only Wisconsin region. I live in Iowa and know many UW fans. Definitely hopeful for the change and so excited for next season already!

Here's the recipe , when you throw the ball efficiently it spreads the defense and opens the lanes up for a great run attack, the issue with what we have today is we were run only which would normally bring 8 in the box so it leaves the WR on a 1-1 with little free safety help, issue today was the QB, if you look at the close games we had it all lead to mistakes by the QB, so if BA wants the ball and wants to see big numbers as long as we get a good QB with good WR he'll have all the yards he can run and this can still be RB U

I have high expectations. But patience is also required. It may take a couple of years for everything to start to come together. Go Badgers!

Wisconsin football was not winning national championships in its current situation... Luke and Phil is going to be the best thing for Wisconsin it's exactly what they lacked just think in 2019 if we would have had an electric qb and or offense with the rbs we had at that time

It was not winning Natnl Championships in any situation. Maybe back in 1910 when they played with a rugby ball and a flying wing that would Crack dudes skull open on a Kick return. But as much as a guy like you would like , I don't think we can return to those good ol days of Natnl Champs. Lol Natnl Champs!

The most obvious is you will not have a problem recruiting the majority of positions locally. QB, WR and CB you have to focus on getting elsewhere. Don't waste too much time recruiting the rest of the positions out of the local footprint.

It is pretty obvious to Badger fans that a good quarterback is what is needed in this offense. You can’t have any passing game if you don’t have someone to throw the ball. The Badgers can still stay with this offense if they have a quarterback that is above average that can deliver the ball every now and then when needed to keep the defense honest which is what has been missing for at least the last 4 years. The 2022 team would have been fine with almost any other quarterback. Just my thought from an arm chair quarterback. Will miss Jimmy but good luck to the new Coach.

They have been a top 20 pedigree team. Fortunate to make top 10 every 5 yrs or so. The next step would be lose the requirements to be a student athlete. Get some biomed experts to mask the steroid use. Provide limitless access to $$, drugs and professional women. And recruiting premiere athletes to come up to UW to play becomes a lot easier. Right now 3star recruits are the best option. Meanwhile the Buckeyes are running 3 deep on the roster with 4's

He needs to get some skilled QBs in and more size in secondary.

Need to stop calling Longo’s offense as “air raid.” He has a 50/50 split with run/pass. Air raid is the Mike Leach offense

Why is Wisconsin basketball so successful? Because Bo Ryan brought in spreading the players around, the spacing in other words. What will make Wisconsin football successful? Spacing the players around on offense by the passing game. Will shift the dynamic to be more open on offense. In the same amount of time it took Barry to get to Rose bowl, 4 years it will happen for Luke to get team to football playoff. Give them 4 years.

I mean they play Ohio St., Michigan, Michigan St. And some other big schools out of the big 10. Ontop of the UCLA is coming to the big 10.

The reason the Badgers had declined the last few years is because they stopped the steady diet of jet sweeps. It would have opened up so much more offensively.

This 73 year old Buckeye fan - 'hates it' - to see Luke as the HC in Madison. - He's worthy of the OSU job and being a competitor just doesn't seem right ? - I wish him well like I did Dantonio @ MSU but I didn't like that either ! - Both in my mind are Buckeyes and I miss them in Columbus. - Should Ryan Day ever go the NFL - I would expect Luke to come home (in Columbus) pretty much like Paul Crist did from PITT . - - - He's loved in Columbus - so Badger fans - don't be surprised if it should eventually happen ?!?!?

Every year our fan base and local media takes a positive attitude towards the team. Every year they come up short. The Badgers were never going to make the playoffs with only 4 teams.

The real question is, what can Luke Fickell tell Wisconsin about what Ohio State Football is. The answer. National Titles. 2014 Defensive Coordinator Luke Fickell.

Badgers need to spend the same money on recruiting that they are spending on coaches. Our ability to recruit has been diminishing year after year the past 5 years.

In order for Mr. Fickell to be successful at WISCONSIN, he’s gonna have to be a recruiter and will need to somehow move the team within the top 20 in recruiting every Spring. Currently WISCONSIN ranks anywheres from 40 to 60. That is not gonna win you a B1G title.

Not a good choice! Jim Leonard was the right choice! Wisconsin boy with a successful track record! Why go outside for a new coach? I will give it three years and then Jim will be their head coach unless he is recruited away by another team, which is highly likely!
