Howsit man, great video! It helped me, Iv setup as a plug and play and your video made it very simple. However, before I had a 720w Mercer unit and when I had switched it off but still plugged into mains it still ran whatever was plugged into it. Now with the Mercer 3kva exactly like yours, if I switch off the unit as I may not want to run it through a loadshedding schedule it powers off whatever is plugged into it. Why is this? Thanks again

I'm glad the video helped with your setup! I've noticed the same thing, I came from 2.7kva Mecer inverter and use to switch it off during the night so that I don't waste unnecessary battery cycles. Unfortunately, it seems that with this model it completely switches off the output power when switched off even when mains is connected. I haven't seen a setting yet that allows you to switch off the inverter output only when mains are off.

Yeah so since iv got it all connected up there is alot to it. Settings and all. My system didn't stop charging so the fans were always running, quote noisy etc. I called a mate of mine and he assisted me with a few standard settings and eventually the system does stop charging so that's sorted and then regarding switching the machine off. You will need a Bi pass switch connected to the system. They are about R400.00 when I know how to install I'll let you know if you are still having this issue. That way you can switch off you unit if you don't want to run a certain power cut but still have your AC current running through to your devices connected.
