There are 4 types of wireless networks infrastructure based, single-hop (wifi, cellular) infrastructure based, multiple-hop (mesh net, wifi repeaters) infrastructure less, single-hop (bluetooth, wifi direct) infrastructure less, multiple-hop (MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETs), VANET (Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks))
