There is a USB C but that's to connect to a computer or phone. The cables are hard wired from the unit into the ignition. It's a pretty solid device, I'm impressed with the build.

Is there a voltage cut off for sentry mode? If so how long will it run before switching off

Haven't had any issues with it yet, even after leaving the bike for 10 days at a time, it's never switched off

3 questions mate while moving along can that camera record if you have an accident ? 2 with my car and and android set up it drops out how does that unit hold up ?. 3 does the unit have a port for a micro sd card for recording ?

Hey bud! Yeah the camera is constantly recording onto an SD Card so if you have a bingle it'll record everything and store it safely. The Android Auto and Apple Carplay are separate to the dashcam function so if you're phone battery runs out or the signal drops out, it won't have any effect on the dash cam feature. Even without connecting it to your phone, it's still a pretty good unit!

Hey Jason! I used the Chigee 12mm crossbar mount for this install, really secure little mount and easy to install!

The GPS map is actually mirroring the phone and using Android Auto so it'll need to be connected wirelessly.

I've mainly been using the dash cam and GPS speed feature. I like it, the dash cam is stable and really good quality. I've had a few GPS disconnects but so far so good

Hey mate i got the same device but my android auto can't connect for some reason! Apple car play is working buy android auto ror some reason not working. Any idea?

Hey Zebi, make sure the phone and Android Auto is up to date. Does Android Auto work in a car or other vehicle as well? Ensure the Android Auto settings allow connection. It took a while for me to get the connection right as well, I did a full restart on both devices and followed the connection instructions word for word as well. Let me know how you go!

Can it make out license plates?

It can at a close distance, it is still only 1080 so it has those limitations

I love my bike gadgets, but this is way too expensive. My refurbished iPhone SE, bought just for this purpose for a fraction of the price, does pretty much the same job

Thing with using a phone is that they don’t respond to gloves. But the Chigee has all those extra features, TPMS, cams and if you ride a GS it connects to the CAN-bus for extra functionality. The Chigee integrates perfectly with my iPhone and Cardo Edge. The big question to be answered is how long it will sustain all the vibes and knocks that it will cop on the bike, especially if you’re into more off-road riding. I have a V-Strom 1050XT with the AIO-5 mounted on the accessory bar above the dash, so it’s fairly stable there.
