@@milktar2182 Correct, however just like Ratchet & Clank Size Matters, which is another PSP port like this game is, it suffers from a weird frame-pacing/timing issue, it's not a great experience. Much better to play the PSP original!

​​@@trulgn PS2 version has better graphics and includes the DLC for the European PSP version, PSP lets you add your own songs to play in game. Other than those differences they're the exact same game, I recommend the PSP version since I've read there's a bug that deletes all your saves on PS2. Wipeout HD/Fury is a new game but all of the tracks were taken from Wipeout Pulse and Wipeout Pure.

This was the best wipeout game

I never knew this game was on PS2. I always played this on PSP.

@@BenoitAdam2 Also I heard the PS2 version corrupts the PS2 memory card, meaning it’ll corrupt not just this game, but other games you’ve saved for a decade gone, so if anyone’s going to play this game on PS2, remove the memory cards to prevent your old saves getting corrupt in order to play this, and other option is just play the PSP version which is the definitive way to play game, don’t believe me, watch MAWK3’s video of the absolute worst PS2 ports he made about it, it’ll show you how much it can mess up your memory card

I was today years old when I found out that WipEout Pulse released in PS2. Must try!

I'm looking to run this disc on my US comp, waiting for it to arrive in mail.. My favorite tram is Auricom so I cannot wait to play the Pulse DLC

I really enjoyed this with the emulator. It looks really good in high resolution. However it seems something is off with the timing, and I was told that was true for the original PS2 version as well.. it's very difficult to make very small adjustment to trajectory.. I got a lot of gold medals and I think I was about 25% into it.. but it seemed much more difficult than it should be. Also it wasn't fun to play with the XBox controller... Now I Have the PS4 dualshock controller so I'll give it another try.

I thought I was the only one with this issue. I think I only played a handful of tracks before it wasn't fun to play. Can't imagine how hard it would be playing rapior or phantom class.

inputs on psp were polled 60 times a second but only 25 times a second on ps2, this makes driving so bad on ps2

6:39 beautiful textures but the psp does strangly better. while this looks gray

The actual name of the song is "Backlash" by Switchshift. Switchshift made the rest of the main menu songs as well, such as "Superglide" which is the most popular one, and the other one, "Mighty Atom." The full versions of "Superglide" and "Mighty Atom" were uploaded to KZread if you want to listen to them. The songs can even be found online as ".FLAC" files, including "Backlash." Switchshift is also known for the soundtrack of Wipeout Rush/Merge.

I have the Psp version American version and I don’t have Auricom what a shame because its dlc and I can’t get it anymore because PsP network is discontinued

The DLC comes on the PS2 disc. As for the PSP version, get a PS3 or Vita and try your luck.
