I know in BallisticNG it's slightly faster than your maximum speed. I'm not sure about the Wipeout actual, it might be possible to achieve a higher speed through other means? And he did often find boosts during the parts of the track where he would've been locked in autopilot had he activated it.

Lore from WipEout Fusion states that a lot of the very best pilots claim that they never use the autopilot, but not one pilot was able to get through the entire 2159 season without using it at least once. Even in the FX-era Leagues, not even this guy could get away without using it. The player here used the autopilot in Talon's Junction once and Tech de Ra three times, but for the most part, he'd absorb it because he needs shield energy, especially in order to do all these barrel rolls. I admit, I only use the autopilot when I'm losing speed on the straights or after a weapon impact, but I'd seldomly use it on the tricky sections. If you can go for it, therefore you can.

This is how Wipeout should be played. It was always about the rush you get in Phantom class, rolling up the field from behind, up to pos. 1 with a couple of perfect rounds and all the speed boosts ❤️

I can tell the person here has spent countless hours perfecting his knowledge of the tracks. I completed entirely Wipeout 64 and it takes a LOT of time to get to that level. It is flawless!

I still get white knuckles from watching, gripping my tablet and feeling that intense rush, and the amazing double rush of hearing “perfect lap!” on a Phantom class run.

As a Destiny player, I've always suspected that Bungie took inspiration from the Wipeout series when it comes to their Sparrows It most def shows in this game

I still play on ps3 but there is only one thing i miss over the omega collection. Sound effects. They just diffrent every ship you choose. Engine, annonouncer, boost, weapon. They just better and more immersive. Its still not level of the elite dangerous but its close. I love wipeout and i will always love it.

@@intothevoid5074 I know. What's your point? It just shows that they COULD have made new ship voices for teams that weren't in 2048, but didn't, and instead reused team voices on some of the teams not present in 2048 when moving to Omega.

There's also the Qirex voice on the EG.X and Triakis, and Piranha's voice on the Goteki. Icaras also has Feisar voice.

@@rickyspanish7851 I started playing Omega Collection this month, and I don't think it's as tough as you're making it out to be. I began with the HD campaigns on Skilled difficulty. It introduces the speeds and tracks at a reasonable pace, and hasn't ask for anything close to perfect runs so far. As someone who isn't amazing at racing games, I managed to have fun from the start.

The tracks where shorter then, because the 2097 Phantoms where only driving 260 KM/h max. The Omega Phantoms drive 1000 KM/h

i try all these barrel rolls especially on sol 2 and still hit the sides or just miss them completely, have you configured your controller so have the barrel roll on one button????
