Winter Wild Camping | Surviving a tent night in the Mountain Snow
Mountain Winter Wild Camping in the Snow. It was a cold snowy wild camp but we kept warm and snug in out tents and gear until the sun rose the next morning....
For more WILD CAMPING Adventures click here : • Wild Camping Scotland ...
Winter had arrived in Scotland's Mountains and we headed wild camping up a mountain to find snow on the ground and icy temperatures in the Glencoe Mountains. It was a fantastic winter wild camp in the mountains of Scotland. Had great company with Ray and we survived the cold wrapped up warm in our tents before the snow started in the morning.....

I love the videos, keep em coming! Some great shots on that one particularly. I'm thinking of doing a winter camp but unsure what sort of gear I'd need at that altitude / night time -5 to -20 temp? Sleeping bag is easy. Would underlays of 260 merino icebreakers and regular pants, with a standard fleece and Rab Microlight be sufficient for the walking around time in the evening? I wouldn't want to have to hibernate in the tent haha. Does the jetboil / propane+isobutane work effectively at those temps? Cheers Murray and thanks for sharing your great footage.

I feel like moving to Scotland.
That area - Stob Mhic Mhartuin and A'Chailleach - is one of my favourite locations for photography, overlooked by many for the Munro peaks in Glen Coe. I've had some great photos from that spot. I met up with Ray at Glencoe Mountain after his recent camp above Lochan na h'Achlaise, brave man in minus 8 temperatures, I had climbed Chrulaiste in the dark that morning. Love the tent shots. Looking forward to Xmas and January for a wild camp somewhere near there. Regards - John
