You really struck home with me on your comments at about 2:44. How many winters have I seen so far and still get butterflies like a kid when the first snow hits? When I snowshoe into a trout lake in the middle of winter after a fresh snow like what you have in the video, my breath is taken away every time. I have to stop and just *look* and marvel at God and his creation. I love the seasons and the changes they bring. Thanks for this vid. It's great to see a MAN not complaining if it's NOT 72 degrees and looking for the remote for the TV.

I agree with you 100%. The four seasons are to be enjoyed! We all have our favorite time of year (mine is the fall). Each season has its own values. Enjoying the silence of a snow covered woods. How can one not see all this and not believe in God?

Thanks Cody. I don't know you personally, well, to some degree I guess I do know you personally because you share your life with us. I mean we don't personally know one another, but I consider you a friend and brother in Christ and its wonderful to know that one day if not here and now our families will still meet. I pray that many will come to know Christ through what you do. I like to evangelize on the street and its so exciting to tell others of Christ's love and the salvation offered to them. God bless and keep it up. Pray for me and I will be praying for you.

God has blessed you with some beautiful country for scenery, in any season. I love it when it snows. Oh, I love all the pine trees you have there, and how the snow builds up on them, and the muffled sounds that you do hear. At times like that I can almost hear his voice softly muffled in the snow, coming from so far away, though, yet within my breath as I exhale a mist of air, to feel him in that mist. I love it when you speak from the heart, and just let it all go. I don't think you rant. I think at those times that we finally put down the face we struggle to build for ourselves, and just let all our burdens upon him. Sometimes we have to say things so that we hear our own voice saying what we actually want to say, yet to find out if that is really what we meant to say and feel. Sometimes we find out how we feel by writhing in turmoil and letting go with how we feel in words, instead of the musing of our mind. I love listening to what you call "ranting", because it helps me not feel so all alone, because I feel much the same way you do, so far, on what I have heard. I'm am in amazement at a lot of ways that the brick and mortar Christians think, do, and say, but then when I have feelings like that I try not judge, but look to see if I am rubbing shoulders with them or not. Keep your "rants" going, because I think so many hear your "cries in the wilderness" and feel close to your words, because they are good Words, coming from someone who lives those Words, and gives them Hope in the thought they may be able to go on with their burden and find rest also. Good Words My Human Brother Namaste...............................

Amen to all the subjects you spoke of, and the way you expressed them. The woods have provided much of my living. But I still enjoy the simple fact of being there, just as you have said. If this is the old "bussman's holiday", so be it. When in the woods my thoughts always turn to the Lord. And the woods, or a simple meeting, can be a church.

Glad to see you're feeling better Cody. Very pretty with all the snow hanging onto the trees. Hearing you talk about your Thursday bible studies being a "church" and the response you got gave me goose bumps. I have honestly enjoyed sitting in on them. As a man slowly finding his way towards God I find what you do to be so much more real than any "church" I have attended and the message is as resounding and clear as any I have heard anywhere else. Thank you Cody. Maybe that is the answer to your question about the Study, to continue as it is, take it advanced or take a break...God is telling you through us.

Thoroughly enjoyable video. I too, find a childlike joy in such snowfalls. Another of God's wonders. It is also great to hear your reference of church being a gathering of Christians, rather than the Catholic version of "the church"...where, to an extent, it becomes it's own entity (it can be nothing without God).

This is a fabulous statement. I remember the video from ***** as well, having watched that over the winter. Both of you have given me reason to contemplate our path. When you mention the snowfall bringing you closer to childhood, that really hit home. Nothing makes me as giddy like a kid as a good snowfall. Especially going out when it's completely silent and you can just feel the nature all around you, it almost soaks into you; there is nothing else like it. I hadn't really put that into words but your comment was just about perfect. Thank you.
