These are your best vids and I really like watching your tarp camping because I always pick up some great tips! We share so much of the same gear, it's funny!!! I just got back from a 3 niter here in the PNW myself (except I had some sleet and rain... Arrgh!), so it was fun watching your skills at work - great camp and you looked quite cozy as well! Good job! 👍

Good Morning Rob - What in the heck is all that white stuff all over the ground? Isn't it Spring there yet? We had 80 degrees in my part of Arizona yesterday. Ok, it was 37 degrees this morning, but the warm will come back. Which do you prefer, Winter Camping or Summer Camping? The Fajita's looked awesome. I think I would have enjoyed having dinner like that in the forest and snow. Thank you for taking us along on this adventure. Regards, Randy in Arizona

It's on it's way Randy! We're supposed to get temps as high as 40° this week so a practical heat wave for this time of year. I would have to say summer camping for sure. I love winter camping because there's no bugs and I have the woods all to myself but I don't like the fact there's not much wildlife around and it's usually dark pretty early and you have to spend a lot of time just sat around in the dark

@@BrooksandBirches Hi Rob, If you want to save a couple $$ and know of a good meat cutter ask for a beef chuck/top blade #114D. with a little practice you can make you own flat irons. also another cut is called a hanging tender #140. The #s correspond to meat cutters guide. BTW I am actually a pro chef. good luck jb

Love the video! Something you may wanna try since you seem to like strong black coffee; boil the coffee grounds in half to 2/3rds the water you would normally use, then let the boiling mix the grounds in thoroughly, then pour the rest of the water you'd want for a full cup or whatever over top. The cooler water landing on top shocks the grounds to the bottom. It's delicious, less acidic but still really strong. And you don't need anything but a metal cup and a fire. Morse Kohansky has a video on KZread showing this. 🤘😎

Good god you coffee "boilers" are really triggering.😁Never. Boil. Coffee. That's what makes your tongue go sour with the aftertaste (that and bad coffee). Just pack a tiny tea sieve and pour the coffee through that into your cup.

@@CleoHarperReturns I've heard that but there is something to the cold water shock that lessens the bitterness and acidity while maintaining the flavor and strength. The "boil and let it come to rest" method is terrible but if you love coffee, you should give the cold water shock method a try. Or not, you do you.
