I love it at night when the house lights come on in the snow...so cool...a feeling of serenity. Then the morning sun comes....& the work begins.

I remember this storm, we were living in Springfield, I shoveled every 2 hours for 24 hours, it wasn't as bad the next day. You were impacted alot more than us. Wow.

How cold was it? I am asking because I am just wondering if the snow was wet and heavy or powder? I live in Vancouver bc. We do not get cold like the rest of Canada does when it snows it is usually a heavy wet snow which sucks to move. Seattle Washington is just 100 miles from us so both cities get the same type of winters mostly rain

I loved this storm!!! At the time we lived in Warren County, Virginia near Front Royal. By the time it stopped snowing we had 47 inches on the ground. It was fantastic.

WOW. I would have dropped the tire PSI to like 7-5 hopped in my 8.5" lifted locked framed out unibody Jeep Cherokee XJ and been trucking on through the city pulling people out of that mess having a blast looks like great powder to pack nicely. Awsome video just great.

@@sleeksilver We're one of them, just moved in September. Both our neighbors across the street have their homes on the market too and I know of at least one more that may be coming soon. I think it's just timing, nothing wrong. We needed a bigger house due to expanding family.

Before this storm hit I bought $200 worth of groceries and a new tv, got all my sons friends over and we hunkered down for the weekend together. What a great memory.

Now I understqnd why my cousins from NY loved to visit us in Miami, FL around Christmas time. I never understood what the big deal was as a kid. I never saw snow in person until I ws in my late 20's.

This is not normal, we get a storm like this every few years but this was large even by that standard.

Biggest snowstorm I ever saw was at mammoth mountain in 2004 or 2005. We were there for the entire event which lasted nearly a week. We got some 15 feet of snow.

Don’t ever put your wipers up when a big snow storm is coming. Too much snow can bend or break them. Plus, if you forget about them and try to knock the snow off with a broom or shovel, you can break them off. Just leave them down...it’s safer

For the most part people turn off their lights inside when they go to bed, but most have a light by the front door they leave on. The lamp posts in the yard tend to have a sensor that turns on when it is dark and will stay on till dawn. Mine has solar panels and will only last a few hours during a storm like this because it didn't get enough sun during the day.
