Could Denbrock have stated any better: we will run more 11 personnel to help the run game. This right here may win an extra game or two this year.

If Max B. can make Kiser successful in the middle, I will be shocked. He should be on the outside so he can see the field better and use quickness to shed or run around huge OL, because he is small and average in talent. Bullouch was speaking of Kiser using kid gloves, saying his improvement from the beginning of last year to the end of last year was good, and that he got a little bigger from when he arrived - I should hope so 6th yr., and I see him listed today as 6'1.5 223. He will be giving up over 100 lbs every week and probably 3-4" in height. If playoffs come? Bigger mismatches, not to mention skills. Behind him on the depth chart for Will LB: Preston Zinter at 6'3 233 soph, and Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa FR, at 6'3 230. No experience, so by default we will see 6th yr. Kiser trying to see over and around playoff guys that will be 6'5 or 6'6 and 320-330 lbs i.e., monsters that will eat him for a snack. We can only pray that Drayk Bowen cross trains from the MIKE, and Zinter shows well this Spring. But In that light of x-training, I'd like to see frosh KVA (Viliamu-Asa) and Ausberry (soph) get some reps at Nickle, which is basically a LB in their Base 43 that they use. I just want him on the field preferably with Bowen and Sneed. But again, I know BK left us zero at LB, and MF didn't really recruit LBers until year 2, as we don't have a single JR. or transfer. The only thing Kiser brings to MLB is that he will have experience in hostile surroundings and has to call plays so being in the middle everyone has the best chance to hear him call defenses whether yelling it or hand signals, he'll know the Defenses. I think it's Kiser's 6th year. Like Hartman, if he was good, he'd have gone to the NFL. They just have no one else with LB experience. Sneed's a red shirt soph, Bowen and Zinter are true sophs. BK left the cupboard bare at LB, and MF wasn't able to bring in a transfer MLB. On the DL, cross training is a must! Al Washington, I think you have gotten crap early, but you've proven yourself right and your critics wrong to date. My advice? Bench BENCH Riley Mills! You have the horses now. They're YOUR kids. For goodness sake, play them. Botelho seemed disinterested this past year. Maybe he has issues off the field? Mills was terrible. Made one good play in 10. The rest he needed teammates to save him (Bertrand). How our defense goes Al, will be largely up to your unit. Cross, Rubio, Houstan, Onye, and then my favorite, Brennan Vernon - he's one sick puppy. In fact, if you put him at Rush End or Viper instead of Botelho, I'd be confident in him getting 8 sacks minimum this year. Josh Burnham also needs playing time there. And then we can roll our eyes in jubilance when we see Bryce Young take the field. If I were you, Al, I'd ask where he wants/feels most comfortable, and as long as he doesn't say NT (Cross) I'd put him there very, very soon. I'd use Mills to spell players all along the line. I didn't like him learning DT, and we saw his decline from the previous year, actually 2 years ago, but if he cross trains, he could be useful in that role. Okay Max, send this to your boss, Al Golden. CC CMF. Thanks. I'll sleep better now.

I'm curious how the offense will play under MD and especially against top ranked teams. I don't think MD is an OC guru without an high level athletic QB like JD. MD is an average OC. I hope he can help the ND offense turn the corner and beat highly ranked teams. Don't forget BK fired MD as the OC for ND. They didn't beat a top ranked team. LSU athletes have made average coaches look superior. BK and MD are average coaches that couldn't beat top ranked teams.
