Yes mate. No reason whatsoever that people our age can’t be playing these types of games. But we play for the fun, the enjoyment and to an extent the escape of the game offers but Kabam through sheer stupidity and arrogance are wrecking their game

I have been playing this game since it was released and I have loved it. My problem is I don’t like the long form content, like actively despise it. I have never done any of the long form content. I used to be a very big spender but it seems that Kabam actually dislikes the people who play their game, they only want their money. All Kabam’s content has recently been to drain player’s resources. I can’t pay money to a company that doesn’t care about their player base or takes them for granted. I hope they change their current strategy and if they don’t I just might have to move on, as sad as that would be…..Also Kabam Mike is not okay, he embodies this attitude.

The only form of long form content i liked was Necro - to a point of course but like you the short and sharp content is what i like. I think Kabam forget they have a game and they just make it more and more complicated plus they want to take or try and take more and more of your money and I was fine with that up to a point, but not now.

Great video. Very fair and balanced take. I've been on the game for about 9 years, and I used to be a moderate spender; always did the monthly sigil, and would get caught up in some of the larger spending holidays/events to the tune of $100 or so. I went completely F2P when they enacted their rebalancing (see: nerfing) program. That was the straw that broke my back. I just found that to be ethically reprehensible. It was an instance where you had a company selling a product that consumers would invest time and resources, including vast sums of money, and then that company was coming in afterwards and removing key functionality from that product post-sale. Imagine buying a new refrigerator because it makes those fancy circle ice cubes for bourbon drinking, and then 60 days later the manufacturer breaks into your house, removes the ice maker, and tells you not to whine because the fridge portion still works just fine. Absolutely bananas. I'm likely eternally stuck as a Paragon player at this point. This WoW content is something that a year ago I probably would have dropped money into making sure I completed. But now, similar to you, I've made probably 100 attempts with a r2 7* OG Hulk, and can't say I've gotten terribly close. Had one instance with exactly the same experience as you - burned I believe 4 revives because I was close, and watched the regen erase all progress. So now it's solo-or-bust until the content disappears. It is what it is.

you are 1,000% spot on here. Particularly in referencing their re-balance program. They try and get you to buy X Y Z champs, only a few month later they nerf one of them and you are expected to be ok with that! Well I'm not ok with that at all. Take it easy and great comment.

I’m 100% in agreement with everything you said. This winter of Woe challenge is just not fun. I am valiant and have 100% necro but far from a skilled player. I averaged between 70-100 revives per run and only managed to explore due to revive farming. I also moderately spend on July 4th and cyber weekend. With the direction the game is heading I’m also going to switch up to free to play. This is the straw that broke the camels back.

I fully agree with what you’re saying, I’m 47 and I’ve been playing for a little over 8 years. I wasted a whole day over the weekend trying to beat Abs-man in WoW after watching multiple videos on KZread, one of which someone beat Abs-Man with a 5/65 She Hulk in around 177 hits (BEFORE the recent update) I attempted after the update with a 5/65 sig 200 She Hulk and after 300+ hits I couldn’t get him below 20% health and after using a revive he regenerated back up to 70% 😡 It was enough for me to leave my alliance and quit the game. If this type of content is the future of MCOC then I won’t be playing again. Thanks for posting 👍🏻

You young man 😂😂😂, just got yourself a subscriber. While I have completed that fight. I'm 100% agreed with you feedback to Kabam. It does starting to feel that the 1% while a small group, seem to have the most direct and heared by Kabam, with more and more contents catering for them. It is elitism. I also do agree with you that MCOC itself can be a fun game, so I'm also trying to find my fun somewhere out of all (or away) of these WoW and CCP Carina mess. Keep on making contents, we need more content creators that actually understands and still connected with the community.

Why thank you for supporting me by subscribing to the channel. Unlike the other talking heads I’ll try and keep my MCOC posts to relevant fun things with the odd bit of commentary like this post. And good for you getting that terrible abs man fight down. Yes - you can see the people behind the game now are being spoon feed by these talking head CCP tubers. When a small 0.1% of 1% start dictating the terms, the other real 99.9% will end up walking away. This after all is a mobile video game which we play I thought for fun. It’s now being pushed nearly as pay to play especially in the disguised form of needing a lot of resources like revives and HP’s. I’ll keep making content like this - discussion type content as it’s obvious there is a need for it. Take it easy

Thanks for speaking for us. I’m no master of this game but I’m a good player who do spending occasionally but now stopped investing in this game. Previously I used to be in p1 ally now moved to g1 just to take off the pressure to perform. Also I stopped clearing everything that’s dropping. Now I’m just playing what I can and trying to have fun. You put the video in sensible way. I don’t see the game going in right direction and it’s hard come back because all mcoc want is money.

Very honest and refreshing post. I’ve been playing since the game’s beginning…was in my 30’s when I started, and now I’m not 😅. I too decided to move to a F2P retired mode of interaction with the game, after moderately and consistently spending for years (spent the most on this game than any other form of entertainment I had). I was happy to do so, as I saw it as my main form of entertainment, and wanted to ensure the ongoing success and survivability of the game I love. I moved away from spending when we started to see the old ‘parry bug’ emerge, along with AI discrepancies and didn’t like the way that Kabam responded to its player base. The lack of respect, and disregard for player’s actual in-game experience earned them a F2P title from me. I’ve been F2P now for about 3 years and Kabam still sends me in game ‘invites’ to participate in player surveys…I only started getting those surveys after I went F2P, which suggests to me that they are looking for the reasons why I won’t spend, rather than actually wanting to hear what I’d like to see incorporated into the content. Nevertheless, in the hopes that it would make an impact I participated in one, but then Kabam continued its shady business practice with the champ rebalancing program. I realized they either don’t read the survey responses, or they just don’t pay attention to the perspectives that don’t fit with their business plan, so I stopped giving my feedback after that - my time is also more valuable than money (also something Kabam doesn’t like to hear - our time is not money in their pocket so it’s worthless to them), so if they don’t have any interest in my feedback, I have no time to spend on giving them thought out responses that fall on deaf ears. That being said, I appreciate when I see players like yourself taking time to provide honest feedback, in a mode that will engage with the player base and give voice to a lot of players that go unheard by Kabam, so you’ve earned my sub and alert on any new videos you come out with. I still do some of the ‘hard’ content if it’s worth it and the rest of the community is engaged and enjoying it, but this WoW I passed on, seeing the immediate backlash from the community. I take the pulse of community comments on content before I test it with my limited item stash, so thankfully I didn’t spend a single item. I’m a paragon, with one R3 7* after finishing one of the Necro paths, but will bide my time in becoming valiant until the inevitable resource ‘inflation’ happens and today’s 7* R3 materials are the next overflowing stash item. I’ve seen it time and time again starting with 4* and their materials….straight on through to the current meta. Cheers from Canada…keep up the good content!

A lot to unpack here so pls forgive me if I don’t respond to all the aspects of your comment. Me like you, we were ok to spend some money. I always thought of it as my small (but meaningful) contribution to ensuring the game could stay well funded and continue on and on. I think Kabam is overly influenced by certain talking head KZreadrs which is too the detriment of the entire MCOC community. I also think they have forgotten what they are. They are a mobile video game developer company and people play video games for fun, enjoyment, entertainment and challenges. They IMO have ignored Fun, Enjoyment and entertainment and seem to be solely focusing on challenges. Problem is compounded because they are IMO making challenges that are getting harder and harder. Your comment has given me a few ideas for a follow up video so again I appreciate your time taken to message your thoughts to all to read

I totally agree. I've play since January 2, 2015. I have loved this game for a long time and have gladly spent over $10000 over that period. I've had points in time where burned me out, but this time is different. I am having a hard time even picking it up. The fun seems to be getting zapped out it. Until something changes, there are not getting a dime out of me. You're right, the community is great. But the joy game feels like it's gone.

Kabam have made a significant tactical error in their current game business strategy. If people like you and me who can drop say $1,000 per yr on a mobile game are now closing our wallets it will flow to their bottom line but then the damage may be too severe

Ive made the same decision as you. No more $ being spent and logging when i can vs need to.

Just came across your channel and this was the 1st video I came across. I can agree with everything you said. I stopped spending on the game when they put quality of life improvements behind a pay wall. The bigger caps on revives/rank up mats and not to mention the bonus you get in arena for paying them. I don't do arena so I don't know exactly what it is. Regardless a feature it is behind a pay wall. I was going for the DEATHLESS pieces, but this WoW content will keep me from getting the piece and I WONT spend 5k units for a piece either because I don't spend anymore, and I don't grind arena. I guess I know now that I won't be able to fully acquire all pieces now rather than being one piece away!

I'm 66 and been playing for several years. You are a far more skilled player than I am. I've likely topped out at cavalier. I'm not playing this game to be stressed. If I want stress, I'll just go back to work. I can always spend my play time in GW2 on my PC.

Im also a player who spent on big offers, just taking the latest one as sample, 4th july I bought everything in store and game, almost same for cyber day. and this week offers almost everything too. I do it because I like the game and in some way I can be more competitive against others with top skills. and this absorbing man, almost made me to spent 40-50 revives to get all completed. I surrender to try to get it in a solo, it was just, enter, avoid him to throw specials, and when he did, just close the game. For sure this is not fun and only did it, to keep competitive.

I just can't believe they don't think how this type of game content goes down with the players and especially the players who are spending to keep them in a job. I think they have fallen for the let's listen to the most vocal 0.1% of the 1% - if that's the case it's a poor business decision on their part

Bro, this month when I logged in we had : event quest, side quest, WOW, AQ, AW, Incursion, BG, Year of the dragon/tiger all going on at the same time. This was the moment I realized I can't keep doing this. Especially since each offers different resources.

I spent 1100 using quicksilver just to get the 1 point because I don’t have the champs for it. I got him to like 14% also then I had like 2 revives left he regenerated to 79% then I sat with no revives and 1100 units down I was gutted. I was close to rage quitting devastated I could have just bought the offer that was intended for when act 8.4 drops it is soul destroying content that they are putting out it was my own fault I’m 39 years old played since the gwen pool goes to the movies event and loved it but now it is getting stupid. love your video and u are 100% correct and I only bought this month the 135 units n 20 per day deal I’m not going to put nothing more in because what happened I’m so salty over this absorbing man chasing valiant only got 1 r2 7* and 1 r5 6* 😢

Hey Peter, mate first thanks for your heartfelt reply explaining your experience. I felt the same way. The thing here is Kabam just don’t realise or care what this type of poorly created ‘hard’ content does to players state of mind. Whilst I didn’t spend the qty of resources you did, I did use up enough of my revives stash to realise this abs man is total BS. The fact I was blindly going along using up my stash to then finally dawn on me it’s nothing but a bait and switch. But don’t rage quit - don’t give them the satisfaction. Just do what I and probably thousands and thousands of players are now doing and go F2P. Given the quality of comments my video has generated I’ll do a follow up in the not too distant future. Whether the message makes it through to Kabam HQ who knows but we can together firmly tell them how we feel

52 years old here and 8 year MCOC player in the Philippines. Just 1 Rank 2 7* from Valiant so I've done pretty much all content as well. But am 100% with you on WoW. Sure some players can still one-shot this kind of content but those are the .0000000000000001% super ultra extreme god tier players. They can make hard stuff but not impossible like this one. Even if they actually allowed Human Torch to have his flame ability affect Abs Man, it would still be a difficult fight. I also decided to become 100% free to play since last year. When you see stuff like this happen, it's clear that Kabam hasn't given much thought about their player base even though it's been around for almost 9 years. It's sad because even the rewards are not anywhere enough to make the extreme effort worth it. It's sad Kabam is becoming more and more like Blizzard. All they really care about at this time is making more money instead of keeping their player base happy like they used to in the earlier days. If Kabam keeps releasing content like Wow, I sense that this will be the beginning of the end for MCOC.

Just goes to reinforce that players of MCOC aren’t teenagers! Yes I agree with you. We could be witnessing the beginning of the end for them. Chasing the dollar alone will alienate most of the players. Yes I know they are a company for profit and that’s why back in the day I was ok paying for the special deals as they dropped. But after WoW abs-man fight - I’m done being a paid up player and I’m joining the F2P growing ranks.

Hey mate completely understand your POV. I am turning 51 in a couple of months. I am not very skilled either. I did manage to take him down with She hulk solo using the unofficial kabam mike method. Maybe have a look at it. You can practice it easily on your own copy of abs man using a low rarity She Hulk. It did take me practicing hundreds of fights and trying the real one about 10-20 times. The timing needs to be perfect but with practice if I got it, anyone can I think! Hopes this helps. PS: I spent spending money when they nerfed revive farming. I can't stand greed.

Nice1 mate. I’m from Tassie 47 and enjoyed McCoy, for years. Valiant since xmass. Woe was frustrating for sure. Tried 8 full energy with shehulk and failed. Chilled for a bit then went in with hulk and warlock R1s. 10 revives each and heals. After watching some vids.

Sorry to read about the no 7 stars in the romance crystals. I didn’t bother this time around opening my wallet. I have stacked up some units via arena grind so I’ll see what the July 4 unit deals like look it. But no more $$$$ spent in the game for me

I am 60 (61 next month) and have been playing since the start (Dec 2014). Paragon account at 4 million. Decided not to bother with stress of WoW content. Will be putting less time, effort and money into the game. Eventually I will get my second 7* R3 to make valiant.

Ill be 50 this year..been playing 5 years..i think i may be the biggest noob in game .. 5mil acc rating 😂😂..i got to thronebreaker last year and stopped playing story because of the bugs...never tried any story since.... my acc rating with my tb title seems to annoy lots of ppl and i find it funny... my acc my rules...im fine with being " trash " i still enjoy monthly quests and side quests and i love grinding units... i have halved my game time recently as im finding the game harder to play not easier as time goes on ❤😂

I just did the first Legacy CCP stark run in 7.3.6 so go the GM KO and have gotten the next deathless piece for King Groot. But I’m just not going to bother with Woe Abs-man

For me, as another old man, it isn't so much I don't have the skills to continue. I just don't care to do such a repetitive, dull fight. Necropolis was tough, but overall pretty fun for me. WoWoe has just been a yawn fest, not fun; I get bored after doing the same thing 40 or 50 times.

long repetitive game play disguised as a means to drain your resources isn't fun - it's a calculated grift on Kabam's part! We're smarter then they are because we see the game play for the scam it is. Take it easy

The trick was to parry heavy him straight away and keep parry and 3 hitting him. with the pacify mastery he gained less power and I could sp1 before he could, so half the time I could stun chain him all the way to his sp3 and he'd kill me, other times he would shrug off the stun due to being unstoppable and he would launch an sp1 or sp2, in which case I would immediately stop the match and revive and jump back in. So basically he never has the chance to regen anymore than say 11,000 at the absolute maximum, depending on my reflexes on hitting that pause button Don't get me wrong, that's not the way I'd like to beat the content but it seemed like the safest way for a scrub like me. R3 6 star hulk BTW.

Yeah, wasn't too bad i thought. I waited to see what a good strategy was and I went with the hulk stun method and a handful of revives. I think Kabam did say next fights were gonna be easier by comparison.

I’m in the same boat, 54 years old, playing since week 1, valiant for 4 r3s and 7.5M account rating. This fight is stupid. The only problem is the regen, to lose all the progress you’ve made is disheartening. I’m not going FTP but if this is the new normal I’m going to be a lot less engaged than I have been in many years.

Totally agree with this gent, I tried two runs roughly 60 minutes each and 2000+ units with my 6* sandman and just could not overcome the regen. First time I realized Unit man won't be enough to save me, and the fight is so long it get really hard not to make a mistake (revive time), or get bad AI. Sad to say, but yeah this is 1% content only, us mere mortals need not apply.

notice when content like this drops some content creator will drop a video right after of them soloing it but when you try you get demolished. I personally think some of those solos the people were able to practice that fight before release. Ain’t no way your soloing that absorbing man your first try. Especially with how the ai is acting now.

I completely agree with you. The greed and stinginess from Kabam is becoming more and more apparent and prevalent as they squeeze harder and harder. It’s definitely a bad business model that I believe they will come to regret. But let’s be honest bud, are you really going to stop spending after all these years? No unit card, sigil? What about when that amazing offer comes around and everyone is opening and posting vids? I truly hope you mean what you say. They might then actually listen. 12:22 this is great to see 👍🏼

Well so far I haven’t opened my wallet. I didn’t buy any of the Valentine cash unit offers. I haven’t paid for the useless Sigil for like 2yrs plus.

From what i could see at the forums, comments and Reddits is that most people dont know how to fight Abs Man in the first place. Yeah, the regen is totally BS, but as you said you had him at low health. What you should have do was to let his form run out and counter heavy his SPs. Not gonna lie this fight is beyond stupid but its doable if you know how to fight Abs man in the first place. Second: People need to start that not every content is meant to be their content, exspecially if you hitting the end of the "pay to success" wall. There are couple of other places which could be done (Story, BG, Necro,...)

you are right on your 1st point - playing the opponent properly can make a world of difference. I know to heavy him after his SOP but I guess the game flow (for me anyway) was screwed up to the unstoppable buff and the hit through block (1 hit your dead) critical. I just couldn't get it right. and you are 100% right on point 2. I have sort of known this for quite some time. I for one haven't done hardly any of the carina's challenges for example as they just don't seem like fun.

@@gebruederkeulemanns I have done the 1st Legacy run. I took the right path starting with Cyclops Blue. GM was a pain in the ass but I beat him with around 8 20% revives. Got the next Deathless King Groot piece so yeah I can do hard content but that Abs-man is just a joke. Yes Act 7.3.6 was enjoyable. because you can see with effort you can get it done

It was tips from commentators like yourself that motivated me to re-think how to approach the fight and this time because I saw steady progress I ended up beating him. Still cost me 8 revives which sucks and the Abs-man is still a terrible no enjoyment fight but I got it done!

Dude … I got crushed in that fight both physically and mentally. I got him down the same, about 12%, only to see him gain most of his health back. The time and revive pots used was demoralizing. I honestly felt like deleting the game after my failure. I still feel like deleting the game. My Abs Man currently sits at about 57% while I try to screw my courage to the sticking point and go back in to continue to bang my head against the Abs Man wall. I am in the same exact spot as you my man, age wise, skill wise, and spend wise. It is annoying. I’ve been playing this game since the month it was released. I’ve never played ANY game as much as I have this one, however I do feel like my time with the game is coming to an end, especially when content like this is released.

Im abit glad how nerfed the fight became on the final gauntlet. Now abs man wont heal past the amount he ended the last fight with. Like you chip 50% off and you die, his regen wont be able to heal past 50% of his max hp. and the buff toggle turned into fight or flight which is way better. Still a tough fight dont get me wrong. I may have gotten him down in a revive on launch week, but tripped up big time and sinked a little too much on that fight. The others weren't too bad

Have to agree that Absman's regen is stupidly OTT, and makes the fight horrible, since you lose progress so fast. I finally got him down with a robot yesterday (Viv Vision) but it was miserable, i think with 16 or 17 revives. If i didn't manage to maintain the Heal Block (which is hard, as he regens for a full 12 seconds, and her Heal Block is six seconds) he was recovering 25,000 health per second!

Same here I am not doing this at all, i reached that point today

If you can watch Metal Sonic Dude's video on how he kicked Abs Man with his 6* Dr Doom. That video alone should give you the inspiration to beat him... or if you have a she-hulk or shocker I have yet to see the other champs he used to beat him though 🤔

I managed to take like 50% on the first try, then used like 13 revives until no revives or units left, but the bastard was still their at 40%, Really not fun....

Pretty much what I experienced day 1. I got him down to 12% and the next fight before I could blink he had regenerated back to 70%. So angry.

Abs man was incredibly easy with hulk...now I did use a 7* r3 duped Hulk.. But it took 1 revive. I was able to get the sp3 and almost solo'd him after that I imagine a r5 ascended would do nearly the same thing...and Hulk is such an awesome champ

Yes Hulk OG is a great champ. I wouldn't say the fight is easy with Hulk. A lot needs to go your way AI wise for you to naturally build those furies and then be able to SP3 him and then stun chain lock him

@@bulmkt97 what helped me is once you're over 5 furies, after abs man throws sp1 you can dex and heavy and it'll stun abs man and enrage hulk, if u can have 1 bar of energy during that you can keep him stunned during unstoppable.

basically in the end that's what was able to do. Brute force, chain stuns and quit out when abs-man regens. it's a terrible method of a fight but that's again 100% Kabam's fault for poor fight design

I’m 40+ and in the wall to quit / continue..manage to clear him with quick silver with my all stash clear 40 revives

Well I’m glad you beat him. I also managed to finally beat him also with my R2 Hulk OG but like you at significant revive cost. Whilst it’s good it’s done, I didn’t feel any enjoyment from doing so because it became an objective in dog determination just to push through. And no one like a game that makes you do that. I can only hope Kabam get the message….tks for your comment. Much appreciated

yes mate - it's a poor crude design. Now if it's a hard fight but I (we) can chip away bit by bit I can take it. But not when they can regen like that. that's just a scam

I have every champ in game rank up sig up and $$$ spent and the ##### abs man is still alive for me lost about 10 boost of the time trying to bet abs man and lost 12 revives + 300 units and at the end my hulk my viv vision and others max rank can't take ##### abs man woe out I gave up after look at my stash

Definitely a rough fight. It took me maybe 15 tries over the first week before I could see how to do it with guillotine 2099. Its all about that reparry technique where you take mediums on standing block and attempt to re tap the screen to parry the first light attack of their comboand, then a quick light attack while they're stunned and then shell up again if theyre unstoppable or start your combo. Sounds complicated but in the end did it for 2 revives and about 15 ROL potions

I just turned 50 been playing since 2014. I’ve been came to the same conclusion and made peace with my skill ceiling. I do still find joy in moments especially when working with my alliance mates in war or raids. I couldn’t imagine trying to be a content creator at our age and I just subscribed to support you please keep up the work you’re doing whether you can match the skills of the younger players or not know that your work is helpful to a niche of the community. I totally understand your frustration but it's been heading this way ever since the introduction of 'end game' content. I understand that Kabam markets it as 'challenging' but the question is has anyone Actually tested the content before releasing it? The game is suffering because Kabam are out of touch with the community. I mean they aim this content at people who want a 'challenge' but did they honestly look at the node combination and think yeah this is achievable? Then when they realise it isn't instead of using a remedy like giving everyone a point and then toning abs man down they just say nonsense like it will create 'issues'. News flash it has already done that. The way the game is heading it seems like it's either become a part of our select group of people we cater to or don't play as it's 'optional' which makes me wonder how much longer it will last.

I agree 100% with your assessment here. They have made the corporate tactical error by being captured by the 0.1% of the 1% - mainly the vocal KZreadr talking heads. All their good work over the last 9 yrs is at risk of folding like a deck of cards as players like you, me and others in these comments just pull back and close our wallets

​@@bulmkt97But that in itself is another problem. The youtubers all start repeating the same thing it's 'optional' which I understand but they forgot basic human nature. They forget that by calling it a challenge people will instinctively try to complete it as it's hard wired in our brains to do so. People want to test themselves however, Kabam are making it borderline impossible to do so unless you are willing to drop money on it. I understand that there are champions who can complete the content but they are so niche that it makes you question if it's even worth it. Instead of focusing on the end game they should be creating content that Everyone can enjoy. Tier the content for each progression level rather than making it paragon or valiant. I don't get why they only think that two progression levels exist when they are closer to the end of the game rather than the beginning. Thronebreaker, cavalier, those guys get nothing apart from being told get to the higher levels when the resources they need are locked behind goalposts thar are unreasonable unless you are willing to drop funds. Sorry for the rant but it irritates me to see the game moving closer to point of no return.

Well you can choose not to play this type of content and just have fun. In most of the games that exist in this world there is some part in it that you don't like or don't have the skill for it and that's fine! Also i suggest watching other guys do wow on yt for tips and tricks

I'm in the same boat as this guy. What's the point of playing a game for 8 years if you can't even finish content though? Especially when summer of pain and eternity of pain was somewhat doable? If the content creators who are the best players and have the top rosters are struggling, it's a clear sign they are taking an advantage of us. Or they are not testing their content.

"Old Man" playing since the game started. I left INJUSTICE for this. You could get every new champ without spending a dime. Just GRIND. Granted not everyone was "OP" but you could get them. After that you had to utilize your roster to simply just PLAY the game and evolve your roster... I may go back. Injustice is still alive alongside its sequel. I did wish the DC versions had the same combat interface as MCOC
