Sam bhai, for starting fire use cotton soaked in petroleum jelly. Make small balls of cotton soaked in petroleum jelly and carry them in a small box. They light up easily and burn very well until you get started with bigger woods. For better heat retention use canvas tents. Also cover the floor edges of tents so that cold doesn't creep in. *Hot air always rises up and cold air always sinks.* Avoid getting smoke inside the tent, get a carbon monoxide alarm for safety.
