I love me some Brian Winters/ Winters Blade Co. stuff. He is one of the most innovative and out of the box thinkers in modern design. Also, he just happens to be one of the nicest and most outgoing humans that you will ever meet! I don't think he's ever met/ talked to a stranger in his life!

From what Bryan has said, the company is called winterblade without the co or designs. I notice lots of people still say the whole thing. I think that’s just for the social media titles. This is the best review I’ve seen if this knife for sure. I want a b3 factor but I missed the pre order apparently.

I am totally digging it but may go Factor first. More my size and scale. I wouldn't mind eventually snagging a Severen as well, eventually. There are so many amazing folders out there nowadays, it is hard not to want them all!!!!!!!

If it's anything like the Factor, it won't be a fun disassembly. It's not super complicated, it's just that the magnets like to find anything and everything to stick to while you're doing it.

Remember, Winterblade Co. is Brian Winters. Civivi is WE Knife Co.’s budget line.. And WE is a massive company with a ton of designers, OEM contracts, etc. The amount of knives they produce and sell allows them to turn a profit on a $78 knife.. It’s the same reason Wal-Mart can sell the same exact item for cheaper than your local mom ‘n pop store and still stay in business. The prices have been artificially reduced due to sheer volume/scale.

One of the things that interests me the most about folding knives are the mechanics inside. I love you your channel and the content but I often wish you would take the knives apart. Especially with this one I'd love to see how it works. Thanks MC!

If other companies pickup one thing from his design it should be that thumbstud. Thats so wicked. Caters to ambi and "cutting path" preachers.

This is the most expensive folder ive bought, i really had no issues with the price on the 14C28N version. I personally couldn't justify the extra $200 for m390/laser work, but i see the value for sure. Its different, its neat. 😊

I just bought a factor b2 that’s in the mail now. I know these are still available for pre order and if they had magnets then I think I would be in. I just don’t see that this have enough different to the AD20.5 to make me want to drop 4 hundo on it

I have a CJRB Creg with the recoil lock. I don't claim it's a great knife, but it has a similar nature having both spine and side crossbar-like properties. I always think when using it how much better the recoil lock would be if it wasn't cast aluminum. The lock is slippery and jumping would make a totally different knife.

Batch 2 is available for preorder.. I reserved mine cause I know when it comes closer to their estimated completion time (mid to late summer) they will be going QUICK. If the website is correct there's only 44 left for preorder.

I was really debating getting this or a strix by sparrow knife co. Ended up going with the Strix but this is still an impressive knife

I ordered the orange aluminum with black pvd m390 the day it launched. Waiting patiently. I appreciate a good quality build with good materials. I machine and weld for a living so I dont care about price if its a quality piece.

I’m the same field and it’s why I HAVEN’T ordered one. I deal with way too much metal shaving throughout my day and these magnets works just gunk up immediately. I do, however, carry an arius most days at work with a 9 line 20cv SmF for the heavy cutting.

@@Sleepy_spartan717 Just to note - the only magnet on the Severn is the little thumb stud magnet which can be removed without tools. Also, the thumb stud hole size is fairly standard - 1/8" - meaning it'll fit other thumb studs out there... Cheers! :D

Finally got my B3 last Monday and it’s been a wild ride! Love the design, the action, the feel, etc etc. Bryan is a bad ass and he is great to talk to and if you have any issues he is responsive and extremely helpful. I will say it is a strange knife to do maintenance on but he’s got videos on the website for all the knives that shows ways to disassemble/assemble and lubricate and all that. Cant recommend these products enough and I can’t wait to try out more!

Same. Prefer drop point but this definitely needs the sheep's foot.

If you ask any mechanic or engineer they will tell you the more moving parts the more failure points.... that's just fact! BUT OMG IS IT AWESOME!

It really doesn't have any more moving parts than a typical axis lock. That's the genius of it.

Winterblade makes Really nice stuff. I pre ordered the Factor B3 and Severn. The waiting time is long, I will pick up my Factor I ordered in May tomorrow from the Mail. 😅 I'm curious when my green Laserwave Magnacut Sevren will shipped to me. 🤔

i love choils; the para 3, microtech stitch, and winterblade factor are three of my favorite knives. but this one... i think the way it just gets cut off by the knife handle instead of flowing into it is pretty ugly. as someone big on aesthetics, this is quite the turn-off.

I want one, but I'm just burnt out on the pre-order thing. I'll just trade for one when they start to circulate. I get why Brian is doing it that way, I just hope he'll start to ween off of it eventually. He sure as hell is getting the sales to justify an advance order.
