You lose the wisp when you make a tree structure but you get it back if you cancel it, so he'll buy a wonder (because it's the cheapest and you lose the least resources after you refund it) and then queue a unit before cancelling. at 1:14 you can see he's at 21/20 food because of it.

Warcraft 3 Champions is what a lot of the competitive community play on. There is SOME latency, but it is massively better than Bnet lag.

he is at 20/20 food with a wisp queued up, but it won't train cos supply cap, and 2nd moonwell is still building. so you make an ancient (shop is cheapest) which uses up the wisp, and go to 19 food so the new wisp starts training, then you cancel the shop and get your wisp back, now you're 21/20 food for a bit.
