I very recently did a review on ENVE's top of the line SES wheels. Several people asked me to: "cOmPaRe tHoSe to mY wInSpAcE hYpErS." I made it clear despite ENVE being twice the price, the performance is not twice that of the Hypers. Any reasonable person can understand that. No cause for contention. Having tested several bike frames now, some of which are coming out of the same Chinese factories as bigger brands, a reasonable person can also deduce the performance similarities. And despite all of this...even if I said I've scientifically tested that a Winspace T1500 is better/equal to an SL7 or Madone, folks would still attempt to justify spending $6000-$12000 on a name brand bike anyway. We have the freedom to buy what we want. And all my frames get used, from a performance perspective, way more than the average cyclist puttering around town.
I love that your channel is getting so much traction lately. It's awesome that Winspace is supporting people like you! You are such an awesome person. Thank you for helping me with my headset issue earlier!

I own the same frame with Hypers but rim brake version and I can say that they really stand out of whole group! The frame is stiff and responsive, when you put the watts in - the bike just accelerates! Of course, every bike does but I've owned UK branded bike and it's far from being that responsive. Feels like half the watts just go away. Of course, this bike could be a bit too harsh for whole day rides but I guess it all adds up like road quality, elevation and stuff. For the price - I'd say it's one of the best options out there!

I can completely understand the ENVE/ Hyper explanation. Even that the T1500 is good enough to crit race against some big brands. But I’m surprised by hearing that this bike is in a different category than a Dengfu/ Velobuild, by how much? I’m currently considering purchasing a VB168 to upgrade from a 6 year old aluminum frame.
@PatrickLino
2 жыл бұрын
Same principle applies. Is the Winspace (frameset alone) twice the performance of similar geometry Dengfu or VeloBuild frame? Probably not. We are talking about marginal gains here, but that comes with a price tag. And at some point those gains matter if you’re cycling competitively.
@Spiritdiver
2 жыл бұрын
Geometry is more important
Disc brake bikes have an inherent advantage for the designers because the seatstays don't have to be built to withstand the lateral forces from the brake caliper. You can engineer more flex into the seatstays to give comfort without affecting the torsional stiffness that you need for sprinting.

@@PatrickLino Thanks for the comment and producing a good quality video! However, I’m totally unsatisfied along the journey since I convinced with all the reviews from your channel and decided to purchase frameset from local dealer. First, it was taking them 2months to arrive but I heard from them usually it takes only 2-3 weeks. I can feel that the dealer literally want to push for one size XS for stock clearance. I already told him many times I owned a Caad12 in size 48 (geo similar to size 47 for SLC 2.0) and size work for me too. The first shipment is scheduled at mid Feb but he claimed the manufacturer didn’t ship the size S and keep pushing me for size XS again. I insist. Finally, the frames has arrived last Friday, I go and pick it up. I immediately sent the frames to my mechanic for bike setup. They have identified several serious quality issues, which could lead to unsafe. So, they are refrain from setting up for me. First, there is no gap between fork and frames even we have inserted the bearing as provided. Each is touching with each other. Also the bearing has 45 degree angle which the fork is in L shape. It is not evenly taking the load and impact which may causing the crack. Next, the hole for place the bearing is much larger than the edge of the bearing. It is not fitted and it may causing the bearing moving around and damaging the frame. The same issue we found on the upper headset, the surface to hold the is not flat. There is a certificate tag signed and chop by the Winspace Ltd. How can such problems persisted and what are they QA dept doing??? I and really concern with other buyers.
