Great set of videos. I am very interested in one of these frames but really want to run a dropper seatpost. Can you rout an internal stealth type post in this frame?

That would be great if you could do a video on this front derailleur setup. I got so fed up with trying to set it up myself that I eventually switched to 1x setup. Same applies for figure 8. Lots of videos but no good in-depth as if it was a secret know-how not to be shared.

"Brifters" will always make me laugh, as a word ! :D Those italian BB once made me nearly destroy my beloved steel tandem frame...The rear one was BSA, the front one was Italian...i had a fight with it for 2 days before realizing it was just regular thread and not left hand... Sweet build buddy :)

Nice helpful video, but I wish you had a explanation of how you cabled the front derailleur. I ask because I'm building up a Winspace frame and am confused by the lack of a cable stop on the frame. Did you use a short piece of housing? If so, how did you secure it on the frame side? I get the derailleur has a built-in cable stop, but what did you use on the frame side? Did you cut the white cable guide and shove it back into the frame? Thank you

Thanks for the vid! Really great build and review. Quick question, how did you feel about the height of the filler spacer they give you for clamping the stem around the fork steerer tube. Any thoughts around the height of the piece? Should it be taller?

I think they provide at least 20mm of headset spacers, which is usually plenty. If you need more height, you could use a riser stem or riser bars

Fantastic video as always! Do you know how much weight you could realistically load on this frame? I can't find anything on the winspace site. I am not intending to use it as a heavy tourer as shown on thier website, but I would take it bike packing. Any ideas?

Thanks. It’ll be fine for most bikepacking set ups. If you need to carry heavy loads, I’d suggest an axle-mounted rack system like the divide rack from old man mountain.

What is the standover height for your small frame. I am 5'8" (actually 1/4" shy of 8 but don't we always round up?) Trying to decide between S and M frame. By the way, you have a great content. Really like the short concise presentation. Right to the point.

Thanks! Stand over is limited due to the large front triangle. If you’re a #smedium like me, I’d go for a small on this particular frame

Great videos what I would Like to know is how tall are you and what size frame did you go for. I’m stuck between a S and M. Winspace told me M but the small frame is closer to my 54cm SL7. I’m 179cm

This is a small frame and I’m 172cm. I also ride a 52cm diverge that fits very well. The small G2 is similar to the 52cm diverge in many measurements. Hard to say, but I’d be inclined to agree that M might be best for you

I pulled the trigger on one of these to build up because of these videos. I have a heaset question for you. I used the same low FSA headset you used and put bearings in and got everything setup but the FSA cap does not spin freely and the whole steerer feels stiff because of it. I have the bearings installed as well as the silver compressions spacer ring in that top headset bearing and the FSA cap slipped right over the top of that. Headset only tensioned to the point where there is no play in the bearings. Any looser to get the FSA cap spinning and there is play in the bearings. Any thoughts when you have time would be greatly appreciated from a build noob.

Try and identify where the friction is coming from. If the cover has a rubber seal, try taking it off and see if there’s still friction. It should spin freely when properly preloaded

@@TheBikeSauce 2 of the .25mm fsa headset microspacers did the trick. My bet is they faced the headset too deep or made the paint a little thick thanks again for replying much appreciated brother!

Hello BikeSauce, can I use an 15mm to 12mm thru axle adaptor for my front hub? Can't seem to find a front hub that has 12x100mm :(

It depends on the hub. Some allow for interchangeable endcaps for different axle sizes

Is it the grx 810 crank (48/31)? Because the Max recommended chainring size is 46/31 for the frame... I have almost the same buildup except mine is the red frame

Any tips on getting the headset on this to tighten up during install? I can't seem to get it to take the slack out no matter what I try. I didn't see anything about it on either of these videos. I'm sure I'm just missing something, but I can't seem to get it (yes, I've got the spacer in to fill the gap in the funny-shaped stem)

@@TheBikeSauce Thought I’d cut enough of the steer tube off, but I guess the cap was hitting it still. Didn’t have any more spacers so I cut a few more mm off and now it’s great. Thanks!
