Also when she tried casting for her first movie (Lucas) a female casting agent said to her : ''Listen, you are not pretty enough to be an actress''... that was also a thing which hurted 14 year old Winona very much back then. It was really not easy for her. Btw she was my first crush when i saw her in Beetlejuice first time when i was around 14 ...in the 90s. For me she is also the most prettiest woman on this planet.

She is a felon now...a pretty one

So brave of Winona to speak about her struggles with mental health issues, she is an great role model and someone we can look up to and know there is nothing to be ashamed if we feel unwell.

She has been my favorite actress since I first saw her in Lucas. We went to the same High School, and I am so ashamed of the way she was treated. She was a couple years older than me, so we weren't there at the same time. Her little brother, Uri was there when I was, he's a year younger than me. Winona and I had the same AP English teacher and he said she kept to herself, and would sit in the back of the classroom reading movie scripts. I have a friend that was close with Uri and got to hang out with Winona a few times and always said she was even cooler than you would imagine. He said she was fun, super down to earth, and very kind.

She always seems so vulnerable but at the same time she moves forward. That takes an immense amount of strength.

Her sensitivity & vulnerability (in a good way) is what makes her a good actress. She's able to deliver a performance that show cases a character's vulnerability really well. Like in Girl Interrupted.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Winona because she’s so talented and never shied away from her detractors. She’s never let the Hollywood fame game destroy her soul.

I strongly disagree. They were a beautiful couple, yes, and they were probably very much in love with each other back then. But obviously it didn't work out and they both ended up in very dark places for some time. I wish people would understand, that it is normally not just the sadness of a breakup, that makes people go to their darkest places, but also the fact, that maybe the relationship leading to it, wasn't doing both parts much good and was already in some ways destructive. From my own experience I can say with 100% certainty, that the people that I've had really bad breakups with, were definitely NOT meant for me. Both of them had better, more stable relationships with other people afterwards. Please already get over the fact that two people who you don't personally know have looked nice together on photos shot in the 90ties and stop glamorizing the overly romantic idea of people being meant for each other. Very generally speaking you can be sure, that what is meant for you, will stay with you and will leave you, once it's no longer meant for you.

Maybe they broke up because she was really sad (depressive) and he was on his way to becoming an alcoholic (it gets worse with age, very hard to tell someone is an alcoholic when young)

I agree. Ive had not the greatest life but anytime i tried venting about things that where serious id always get told im too sensitive by people i know for the fact if i did the things they did to me it be way worst. So theyd be able to dish it but couldnt take it. But always always got told im too sensitive so they can avoid taking any responsibility. For years id take it in a upsetting wsy than i thought hey so what if i am overly sensitive thats not a thing that makes someone wrong there are good things that happen from my sensitivity that make me who i am. So when i started realizing i accept my sensitivity and its not a bad thing i finally said it to. I asked why is it such a bad thing in being sensitive? And being able to speak out about my sensitivity. I get alot out of my emotion in who it makes me like my art my ideas my need to try and help others because of the empathy i feel and it not only benefits me in ways but i can help others understand. So why do you criticize someone whos fragile and make it a bad thing. Shes right theres nothing wrong with being fragile and the more ive accepted that and showed i know my sensitivity isnt a bad thing the world views it negative for some reason

Winona Forever is a classic and we understand why JD had it tattooed to his shoulder. Their relationship could have been a gold standard had they get back together and endure tye test of fame and human flaws.

It's so annoying that people are still so preoccupied with who she dated as a teenager. It's also pretty creepy of him, at 26, to date a 17 year old. That's a huge age difference. From what I've seen of him, he's way too chaotic to date some who really struggles with anxiety. I'm glad she did not stay with him. Way too much in the ways of drugs etc.
