You can use Shift + 1, 2, 3, 4 to activate the first 4 Vampire Powers. In the spells menu you can also change the Vampire Power slots

What is the best early game build and weapon combo? And how do you counter Slashers/Spear builds?

I assume you mean copper level for early game? I'd go with mace, chaos volley and blood counter until you unlock chaos barrier. Get double space as early as possible, it's much stronger than all the other spaces and it makes a big difference. Mace is good, cause the Q hits hard early on and people don't have as many tools to outplay it yet. 2nd best weapon would probably be copper spear to try and get combos off. You could run it with Frostbats to try and set up CCs for Spear Q. As for countering Slasher / Spear builds. Just keep your distance and walk away when they stealth or try to time a counter/barrier before they can hit you. If you hit them with a chaos volley before they stealth you can also see them in stealth. Also if they have the garlic or healing over time effect or if they're stealthed in the sun, you will be able to see the outline of them.

Game is pretty dead atm, but there's a big update mid-May and I expect there will be a bit of a revival.

The reason why I don't really enjoy full loot servers is often you are either living in a mud hut, or you're with the big shots of the servers with the only functioning castle. I also like how my castles look, and "peak function" sadly is far from being "peak form" as well, but you can't spare an eye for beauty because the moment you stop, is the moment the hounds come. If only there was a mode where acting "cavalier" was enforced in some way, as in you have to announce an attack beforehand and the two parties decide the rules of engagement. Add a wager to the clan feud as well, who offers the most has the more "weight" when it comes to decide how to go about it. No bloody surprise the vampires were driven back in the prelude, if in the past as well it was open season among each other, always. It's literally in the game, getting at least your own vampire to the Iron Age is a challenge.

I generally agree. I like how rewarding pvp is in full loot but server longevity is awful and you never get to build a home you're attached to. Unfortunately the raiding system is not good yet and regular pvp servers don't stay active at endgame either. And then when raids happen they almost exclusively happen with the defender being offline.

@@Teldo in official pvp, without full loot, there’s literally no point staying once u hit endgame. You’ve dominated the server, taken the soul shards, there’s nothing left to do, by then your castle would’ve been so powerful no one wants to raid you unless you stop playing on the server

Heyhey, I haven't been playing lately, since the servers in EU are pretty dead :/ I do miss the game and I'm gonna see if I can get some recording done again, but it's kinda hard right now. We might have to wait until they release their content update. I should make a video about the state of V Rising at least

what keyboard is that?

how does the pvp work ? are you just joining a random server and start looking for players? and why are you building your castle so late or not at all?

I think they don’t wanna waste time on grinding and pure PVE gameplay, because for them PVP and fights is just better content and can skip some of the grind cuz its a full loot pvp. Also Full loot pvp servers tend to die in a couple of days meaning all early game action would stop, so why waste time grinding and building a castle

Full Loot PVP servers are pretty much just a battle royale, you find the biggest baddies and try to kill them, no point building castles as they will most definitely get raided. Kind of like Rust, server hopping is fairly common. Ofc you have non full loot pvp and PvE servers which are less intense but you experience more of the actual content and you are able to build a nice castle you can admire but beyond that, I don’t think there’s anything else to do. You can raid bases but there’s really no point once you’re the most dominant on the server. At that point, probably just find a new server and start over

I lvoe this game but yea, when u do evrythink it starting be a boring :/ I think all survival games have problem with end game, especially here and valheim, bec u must kill boses, grind stuff and when u know how to play and when u get best stuff u can kill everyone, in others survival games like SCUM, Miscrated or DayZ PvP is only what u get, u just get stuff, kill ppl, lose stuff so u just start play and its already end game xD bec even when u get best stuff u only looking for killing ppl I also have hope they will make this game better and better :D cant w8 for new region and more :D but what I can say, solo PvP here is hard xD I tried and I always meet team, sometimes u meet bad players and u can win 1 vs 2 but normally u die, good fight training but not rly fun xD and nice video of course :D I also like others games from Stunloc studio and still have hope Dead Island Epidemic will come back xD

@@hussar4472 After you've bought the game, they probably couldn't care less whether you actually play it or not. You can try to play it forever, but like i said already, it's not designed with infinite replayability in mind.

It's so annoying that you guys dont actually play the game. Any of the tournaments require you to hold the shards to be placed. Would be more fun to see your PVP style put you ahead in terms of raid materials and actually see you guys raid a castle and steal the soul shards. That being said, you guys are nuts. I've watched you ever since br and I played quite a bit of blc too.

I understand. There are a couple of reasons for that. 1) I don't have the time to really invest into one server right now, so I pretty much only do PvP oneshots for one evening. 2) Even if I wanted to I cannot play the way you suggest, because we have no tournament servers on EU and the full loot servers die after 1-2 days. So it'd be just a lot of wasted time. That being said I have one vod where we play the game a little bit more regularly, which I could upload some time soon. And hopefully the game will add more content, longevity for servers and variation soon to make regular playthroughs more interesting

@@Teldo Sucks you don't have time. Such a precious resource.. I mean u are safe outside of raiding times. So if you just play during the raid hours for 3 evenings I think you guys could take all 3 shards. Would just be so sick if you guys hit a duo server went for soul shards. Grab double siege golems, 20 major explosives, and truly own the server.

​@@sscr1p7 Yeah I hope we get to do someting like this in the future. I believe the game does not properly support it right now. The only reason people play this sort of "mode" now, is the prize money on the NA tourney servers. I believe the raiding system needs some work as well as the server player retention. But I'm sure I'll showcase content like this in the future. I think I'd prefer this kind of gameplay more anyway, if it works well.

@@Teldo But then it just regresses into battlerite. Which got very stale very fast. Just queing into ranked 3s with the repetitiveness got boring really fast for me. What server settings or "mode" would make retention better for you think? How do you make the end game better?

@@sscr1p7 Oh I definitely don't just want an arena mode. Everything else around V Rising is a catalyst for PvP and that's great. But it clearly has problems right now, because servers die way too quickly. The "win con" of owning relics before the server goes down does not work well, cause it eliminates everything that happens leading up to it. Why even play the first days if you can just get on during the last day and still have a strong chance of stealing relics? I think it's complicated, but there probably needs to be a system that rewards players with points for different achievements if you really want to support a tournament like structure. Like giving points to the person with the most kills. Maybe giving points for server first kills on certain bosses or something along those lines. Enough to accomodate different playstyles. And then relics should give you points for holding them over time instead of only rewarding the person who holds them in the end.

I get that its a pvp game and u guys wanna win and whatnot, but you guys have NO MANNERS whatsoever lol. Like sometimes you'll go out of your way to be dicks, preventing people who are not trying to attack you from getting bosses, people who are actually talking to you and saying they're chill etc. I don't really get the appeal of that, killing people who aren't trying to fight, but whatever. maybe this game's not for me :p

I don't think we're being dicks. This is a full loot pvp server and people join precisely because they want to PvP. Giving away a major boss for free is just kinda silly. We even give them the opportunity to walk away without getting killed. They had no gear and were literally just there to leech a boss for free. I think calling this "NO MANNERS whatsoever" is quite a bit exaggerated. Besides that we help people out all the time or let people walk away when we feel like it's not a fair fight for them. Or we give people free loot at times too. I don't think you've seen actual dicks in pvp play. But you are entitled to your opinion.

This is clearly not just MY interpretation because a lot of people run up to you while you're fighting a boss and actively start hitting the boss thinking 'okay, I'm gonna show them that I'm friendly and we're gonna get along' upon which you proceed to mercilessly punish them for not ganking you, thus perpetuating this tyep of inhuman behavior. and I say 'inhuman' not as an insult, but basically without consideration for the fact that they're people too, trying to play and progress in the game. They might as well be bots to you. If they're targetable, you'll kill them. I watched your entire video, and there's numerous instances of you killing people who were operating under the illusion that if they're gonna be friendly to you, you'll be friendly to them. To each their own though, I suppose you're free to play the game as you choose.

@@Daymjo Maybe provide some timestamps instead of claiming random things before calling people inhuman. It doesn't make it less of an insult if you say "it's not an insult" afterwards. We pretty much never gank people if we don't gain gear or anything from it. And that's pretty much the code that I live by. I only seek PvP that has some meaning to it instead of just ganking people for fun without any reason or gain. It's honestly much more of a dick move to randomly insult someone random on the internet. But you do you.

​@@rafu9248 idk man, ive seen other videos of full loot pvpers and people are sometimes human too. Sometimes people drop a bit of loot behind for the guys they kill so they don't send them all the way back to the stoneage, or sometimes people don't just attack people who don't fight back. I kinda get both sides. I duo with a friend and we ran into a solo guy who asked us if we wanna team for clancy? My mate just started attacking him (if it's red it's dead kinda player) and the guy was just standing there, not fighting back, he even dropped a recipe for us. Idk, felt super weird attacking him, and I would feel super weird every time. But I guess other people are built differently.
