Yes, but the game was also a lot more spell heavy. Dark Hole, Raigeki, Fissure and other removals in Form of Spells/Traps were Staples at that time. So you had much more outs to it.

@@buttersstotch172 People still has outs to this, aside from Lighting Storm and the aforementioned Raigeki, DRNM, Imperm, and Droplet also works. Or some more in-archetype removals like Eldlich, N'tss from Nadir Servant/Extra Foolish, etc. You would probably used to see 5-ofs of those destruction before, now you also see around that today.

I used to run a Fusilier Dragon the Dual-Mode Beast Metamorphosis into LAst Warrior from Another planet combo back int he day. Was always such a joy just having people scoop turn 1 because of it.

okay TECHNICALLY he had an out. It's not good nor would it probably realistically ever happen, but there is a single out in his deck. Set branded in red and have enough materials to go into proskenion. On the main phase 2 during the opponent's turn activate effect veiler targeting last warrior, then after it resolves use branded in red to make proskenion. We do this main phase 2 to avoid lance. At that point the out would be either double lance (which he did have) or the book amazement trap. Even then proskenion is too big so for the most part it's double lance or bust, but since you had that you would have won anyway.

He also could have used branded in red to summon Quaeritis after using Effect Veiler and used the effect to reduce the last warrior from another planet's attack to 0 since it is only a level 7 fusion monster. But yes, it would have been very tedious to stall and wait for the cards and very well could have lost before getting them.

A far simpler out would be having both evenly matched and effect veiler in hand. Use evenly matched (best to do on your turn, probably w/o setting it) and then main phase 2 effect veiler & go into despia things (mirrorjade to banish being probs best)

Magnum shield works well with last warrior. 4650 attack is nothing to sneeze at

Evenly Matched Is bugged to skip your main phase 2 if you click and turn in the battle phase. To play around it always click main phase 2 even if you don’t plan on playing anything.

How about using Interdimensional Matter Transporter? It'll temporarily remove The Last Warrior From Another Planet from the field so you can summon what you'd like to for one turn before he returns during the end phase of that turn. If done during your opponent's turn after you revealed Lord Of The Heavenly Prison, you'll at least get to search a desired spell/trap that you want and have another monster on the field to attack with. Safe Zone could also serve as a last resort to protect your monster from being targeted/destroyed by card effects. Can't attack directly though, and it'll get destroyed if Safe Zone leaves the field. Probably wouldn't hurt to pack a bunch of counter trap cards like Dark Bribe/Solemn Judgment to keep it safe too.

Any equip that grants piercing would be a nice addition, so long as it doesn't remove warrior from the field if its destroyed.

this is why you have 1 monster that cant be destroyed by battle, stall decks cant deal with SHS blue brawler

The best thing about Blue brawler is he works with spell and trap based decks because he doesn't have the superheavy weakness...

In regards to outs (in their deck specifically) Effect Veiler into Branded in Red to Fusion Summon Despian Quaeritis using Dramaturge as material. Would've given them a 5500 damage on board since Last Warrior is below level 8, disregarding the backrow of course The issue with that is actually getting there. Effect Veiler is searchable by nothing, and Branded in Red is only searchable by Summoning Aluber, which was not possible, meaning he had to specifically draw Branded in Red, Effect Veiler, and Dramaturge (setting monsters filled the grave regardless, so that wasn't a concern), 2 he ran at 2 copies and 1 at 1 copy. I'm not gonna run the numbers, but statistically speaking, there's a reason people try not to rely on 3 card combos

the worst thing I think about after the last warrior is that thousand restrict to be summon with that tsukuyomi guy appearring

I am wondering if any of my decks have an out to last warrior. I guess Gusto has spell based removal. Crystal beasts have the fieldwipe. And my dreammirrors are just screwed.

Your Crystal Beast fieldwipe wont work because you wont be able to get the Rainbow Dragon onto the field in the first place to activate his effect. Unless Crystal beasts have another field wipe I am unaware of?

@@ASavageEye crystal abundance? Non destruction wipe. The activation condition kinda sucks tho. But it would be an out that turns the tables instantly leaving you with nothing while filling my field back up with monsters. Honestly it is the decks best win conditions if you can pull it off.

@@TheNeonLynx yeah that would work but as you said the conditions suck. Getting 4 crystal beasts into the back row is not that easy when you dont have combat because your relying on other spells/traps to do it and that could take more than a few turns. The problem with Last Warrior is he is usually on the field by turn 2 at the latest so unless you have already set up some sort of destructions you generally get stuck. The best way to out him is with either a destruction card like Raigeki or something like Veiler to remove his effect and allow you to summon something to wipe him with in combat. He is by no means unstoppable but the reason he really shines is because most decks, meta decks that is, do not have such an easy out and by the time they draw into Raigeki or Veiler they have already lost most of their lifepoints or the Last Warrior player has already set up a lot of protection to keep him on the field anyway. He is tough but for me the main reason I sometimes play him if for the pure troll factor lol

@@ASavageEye yeah makes sense. Speaking of troll decks my fav was Duston. Too bad link monsters exist so now it is straight up unplayable since they are no longer unusable monsters. It was so funny having your enemy be locked out of their own monster zones. What are they gonna do? How many decks realistically run spells and traps that can non specific destroy their own monsters. So they can have something other than 5 0/1000 atk monsters in the field that do not have a usable effect. Now you just link them away and thank your opponent for the free fodder. Also to get back to the point modern crystal beast should be able to flood 3-4 spell/trap zones if Last warrior doesn't come out first turn. However that does not guarantee drawing the out since you only play abundance once. If you get to play it you win if not it is a dead card so you want to search it not draw it naturally. What I would love to try out are advances crystal beasts which might be more consistent but they are not in master duel yet and I am uncertain wether they inherit the old support or not although they should.

@@TheNeonLynx They do inherit all the old support cards as well as the new ones and even a couple specific to them. Advanced Crystal Beasts are super fun and quite powerful in that they can bring out Rainbow and Dark Rainbow in one turn however they DONT fill the back row easily Im afraid to say. They only work whilst their Field Spell is on the field otherwise they go straight to the GY. In the Gy they do synergise very nicely with the spells and traps and CAN easily fill the back row from there but it requires a specific set of magic cards and its not easy to do. Its a very fun deck for casual play but in meta it gets wrecked every time.

Eagle booster is better than any of the garbage he played to protect last warrior, also you can search and go plus more or less
