Thanks for checking out my content and sharing the kind words! I hope I can change the 75 frequently enough over the coming months to give you a bit of variety, though! 😉

    I am super happy that the algorithm showed me this! Super nice commentary! Especially when it comes to explaining how you view your lifetotal. I am personally looking to get into modern with some black/X Death's shadows build. Your build seems super calculated and well thought-out. I would love to see a deck-tech with explanations to why you play dimir over rakdos/grixis and what reasons you have for the ratios you play.

    Glad the algorithm brought you here too! I’d be happy to do that for you but I think it’s smarter for me to wait until MH3 releases and then rebuild the deck then do a deck tech video as the meta shifts and there’s a whole new format. There’s a lot of interesting cards I want to test!

    Thank you! I just did a short stream with Frog and Murktide yesterday. Was only able to get through 3 matches but it was a pretty strong combo when both on the battlefield. As for why Dimir, it’s mostly due to that stack interaction. Most other Shadow decks kind of have to race opponents but Dimir gets to control the game while still having a lot of the same fun gameplay decisions and life total management.

    Yeah, I was pretty upset at myself in the moment. Had I not drawn the Murktide for turn there’s no way I miss it. The fact that I play Break the Ice specifically because I hate losing to Tron and then to almost punt the game on that play was great. Can't believe they didn't hit a way to wipe my board.

    Thank you! This is a question I’ve gotten enough times that I’ve decided I’ll put a Green splash list together and try it so that I can give people a more data driven response. I don’t feel like it’s necessary as I’ve had a lot of success with what I’ve got and the Domain matchup has been above average. If it’s clear that making the splash improves Domain drastically and helps elsewhere then I’ll likely do the splash until MH3 drops. I’ll add that I really don’t like not having perfect mana for how interactive my version on UB Shadow has to be. Like, missing out on turns where you need double black (a lot of lines require it for pure efficiency) because I’m splashing for a SB card that ends up being no better than what I was doing without the splash is not at all where I’d prefer to be. But, yeah, I’ll test it so I’m not just telling you something I can’t validate/back up

    What would you recommend as a more budget-friendly replacement for Bowmasters? It's something I'd eventually buy into but is a bit pricey at the moment. Loving all your content!

  • @MurmursMTG

    @MurmursMTG

    Unless you’re playing a lot of magic over the next two months, I’d definitely hold off on the Boweys until the MH3 anyway. They might be made obsolete or reduced to being a SB card that isn’t 100% needed depending on the meta. For now, you’ll definitely never replace it and I’d have to see your list to give you a decent recommendation. Can you share a list?

  • @ComposerMathieu

    @ComposerMathieu

    @@MurmursMTG right now I'm just using your list with proxies. I'm moving into this deck from my old one I don't get much enjoyment from anymore. Right now I'm thinking of putting in brazen borrower in place of the orcs, but also looking into collective brutality or soul reap as a way to snipe down smaller creatures.

    What do you think about surgical extraction? Is it a sideboard option worth considering?

  • @MurmursMTG

    @MurmursMTG

    3 ай бұрын

    There would need to be a graveyard focused combo deck at the very top of the meta that folds to losing one piece of the combo for me to want surgical. Esper Goryo doesn’t fold to losing access to Goryo’s Vengeance and isn’t prominent enough for me to want Surgicals right now.
