I think all the negativity directed towards Rain in this comment section has to be made by people who’ve never had to perform on a stage in their life. Anybody who’s performed understands how important it is to have a teacher/coach/mentor who will believe in you so much that they will push you to go beyond what you thought were your limits. Rain’s words might be construed as harsh by some, but its exactly what most of us need when we want to succeed in being the best that we can be.

Well just knowing it isn’t enough. I agree companies and luck plays a huge factor but Rain here is Just helping them because what’s the use of sulking after working hard. Life isn’t a bed of roses. Rain went through all of what they did and came out successful in the end. I’m saying it’s good he scolded because he cares and wants to let them know that the world is going to be harsh with them whether they broke their legs while practicing or not. Nobody is going to go easy on them because they worked hard. So a lil extra push wouldn’t hurt. It takes more than just hard work to be a hit. Look at Big Bang , Bts - they’ve all suffered maybe a lil more extra than most.

Some of them allready know...If I'm not mistaken than the members of A.C.E said during THE UNI+ that they really really do a lot more than they actually need to just to become better cause they are from an extremly small and unknowen company that is only mad out of one single room and they even have to clean the room themself and they often go on the streets to perform there... they do so so much (you can see that on their KZread-account) and I guess other people who went to THE UNI+ who allready was in hard working groups or still are in hard working groups they know it too how it is to work to get to sometinhg (even if it wasn't enough)

    1. Rain is K pop legend.. Bfore ur k pop idols , Rain is it !!! He ws most influential k pop artist who faved the way for k pop to be recognized in the world. He ws more popular than presidnt of US at one point . 2. He is a brand of his own. K pop idols can be lumped together per generation , ex bts, exo, bigbang etc.. then one gets more attention than another and take turns each year so there are fan wars who is better or more popular. Rain ws a stage alone during his days ...no fan wars coz no one can rival his popularity and greatness when he ws on his peak, he was then untouchable.. 3. Been in the stage 100000 but still go home and practice on his own..he never settled for anything less... Trainees one day can succeed and be popular but will remember nothing come easy. They can even be popular than Rain is now but one thing am sure no one will ever top Rain's popularity in his prime.. Remember this arent trainees, they all have debuted but not successsful so it's called ReBoot , means if they only tried harder and practice more before thay are not supposed to be in this show.

If you think Rain is harsh then remember YG and all other agencies. They are a million times way harsher than Rain will ever be. LOL Imagine what this trainees have to go through in those agencies. Getting shouted, scolded and made to practice all day. Rain is actually pretty nice. I'll be way harsher if it was me. Those commenting that he is harsh is probably little kids who knows nothing in the real world. In every field wherever you work, your superiors will scold you if you make mistakes. You even get punish or get your pay deducted. That's life. You gotta work hard.

and to add to that, there are companies that have tightened a guitar string around a member's neck if they did something wrong or didn't listen. these members were UNDER 18 and came home with a new set of bruises every night. so the people in comments have no right to be calling Rain harsh when all he did was yell, i can't remember the name of the companies but still.

We must get not 100% but 101% satisfaction for our talent to be recognised and appreciated by the public. Battez vous les jeunes. La victoire, c'est la pratique, l'effort, la sueur, la patience, le sourire, le partage, le respect et biensur la réconpense les amis. Je vous souhaite mes meilleurs de reussite.

They think the older gen groups/singer are unimportant when in reality if those older generation singers didn't exist or if they didn't become who they are today the new gen groups wouldn't have been formed. Those older gen paved the way and gave inspiration to your idols. The hate Rain gets from you just because they scolded them is unnecessary and irrelevant. Go back to western music damnit

There is a reason why some people make it and others don't. Whether it be how you get into bigger companies or how you grow as a group with a smaller company. A pretty or handsome face isn't enough. There needs to be something more. Words like that are no rarity.

If rain was the one training me and he yelled at me for that i wouldnt be pissed instead id be happy and thankful for his honest judgement bc if u are gonna train someone u need to be honest and harsh if u need to he just wants his students to be better and he wants them to open their eyes and realize how much harder they have to work to be able to use their talents to its full potential

Respect Rain. He has it tough as a mentor. He has to be hard on the trainees, in part because he's a perfectionist and, to drill in the harsh reality of maintaining stardom. Remember, these were once idols. They are looking for that 2nd chance and break. I like The Uni+ :)
