@@michael221ventura He does the challenges with the players, but he has volunteers that dress their characters up like the competitors and later film the B-roll with him. Basically when you see the raw footage with the interface on screen that's footage recorded straight from the challenge, when its a more "fancy" shot of someone doing something that's someone recreating the player's actions in the challenge while Soup is somewhere nearby likely using an Oculus Orb to capture it

My wife has never played this game. She LOVES these videos.. we say it's the survivor or video games. And it's always SO good. Please please please don't stop making these. Having some wine and watching Gielenor games is the best

I'm a pretty decent RuneScape player. I would have made the same choice as Zecookies. She made a really logical decision. V is obviously going to be the more skilled pvm'er, so her best bet is hope he makes a mistake and goes too cheap and takes a death. Give yourself the guarantee kills. I honestly think she made the best play possible. Same play I would have made.

One of the things that truly blows me away about this series every time is Soup CLEARLY digging heavily into game theory and how to produce interesting dynamics and twists. Not to mention his ability to tell a story that takes these dynamics into account, waiting until the right moment to reveal information to both the players AND the viewers. Amazing job Soup.

@@Markiepoo I don't agree, this is a drama show first and foremost. It's designed to create suspense for content, it isn't a "pure" competition in that sense. Players are encouraged to take ruthless approaches and cause drama between each other. The first one into the banning just had this choice dumped on them without any pre-planning and as a result were encouraged to play it safe and as a result one of the more skilled veterans who also is a season winner now have beef with 3-4 of the other competitors plus the tribunal members and that is going to have an effect in the next episode and that episode will have an effect that escalates into the next etc.

Why do you think the weakest players make it halfway through the GG seasons? Its not bc of skill, its because they arent a threat. They are an easy win, so why choose them? Now that the person thats voted to the challenge gets to pick, its the opposite. Easy wins against the weakest people. Zoepancakes is gone in the next episode or 2, guaranteee it.

They're catching on! The amount of super quality content creators in the OSRS community is the reason the game is still thriving. I got back into it after discovering Swampletics and By Release. I really think this game would be long dead without all these legends and Jagex is smart to support them.

@@seankent7282 1 million percent. No other game relies as heavily on content creators for it's current success as OSRS does. MAYBE Age of Empires 2, but even then probably not even close. The OSRS creators are just on another level, it's insane. Without the top 10 creators this game probably wouldn't have 1/3rd of the current playerbase.

Soup makes so many subtle details that make the show.Clearly V’s setup was way cheaper and Soup made it interesting by making it seem like V had a chance of running out of prayer by subtitling that specific part 56:37. Pumped for this season 😎

Old school is fantastic as a 2nd monitor game. It's unique in that there is plenty of "game" to enjoy before you max, just take things at your own pace and don't get caught up in the efficiency above everything mindset. The game has aged pretty well and has found its niche as a retro mmorpg.

If runescape would have been mainstream, this would be top netflix series. The quality of story teling, editing and shots is amazing. congrats to the whole editing team, this is fucking amazing

Definitely wasn't expecting to be engrossed by this, but it's so good! Great content, great cast, great editing. Very excited for the rest of the series!!

This having over 500k views within a week shows how amazing the series is. I can’t wait for the rest of the season!

There's so many people that I want to see win it's hard to pick just one. That said seeing Solomission push so hard and be so entertaining every season while playing the villain I think the man absolutely deserves a W this time around.

That’s how productions work though. If you didn’t have any of that, people wouldn’t be as interested. You need to have villains and people to cheer for, if there’s no conflict it’ll be boring.

Awesome banning style - stops the weak players from just cheesing there way through because not getting picked for bannings.

This episode is an hour long, why have I watched it THREE times. This is my first time watching GG, and I'm so hooked. The editting and storytelling here is unbelievably good, and the entertainment value here definitely transcends just being a fan of the game. I almost can't wait for what's next, but I've got 3 seasons to tide me over. Also, COME ON ROIDIE!

I made sure to watch seasons 1, 2, and 3 again before starting on 4. I recommend it. (I didn't watch all of Solo's commentary for the rewatches, just the main eps.)

The B-roll this year is already insanely good and it’s just the first episode!

Season 4 starts off with an absolute banger! Didn't think it could get better after S3 but Soup delivers. Incredible editing, amazing content. Best osrs series of all time.

I’m caught up with the rest of the series now, and going to rewatch this first episode. Thank you so much for this amazing osrs content man, I truly appreciate it at this time of my life!

This series is really something special, Ive never seen anything RS related this high quality, Incredible.

The story telling, editing and format are absolute top notch. This is honestly better tv then most network television. unreal

Soup gotta say this series you came up with is really incredible! Never been a fan of reality tv but this episode felt like a gripping episode of survivor or something! Very well made the audio b roll and montages are all top notch! Looking at your recent videos you are now like the osrs Mr beast! You've come a very long way since your old quest guides where you would forget items and skip steps lmfao

I’ve been watching RS content for 4 or 5 years now and for some reason I’ve never really watched GG but I’ve heard so much about it so I’ve been hyped to start this season. Definitely go back. Last season was the first one I watched. I have since seen them all.

This series is FR the best game related content series of all time its not even close. All of your years on youtube leading to what you create now soup it has been insane. I forgive you for making me run back to my bank over and over mid quest all those years ago ;)
