A famous sand story of WWII when a young women is waiting for her man - a Soldier. A story of our tragic and heroic past which must be never forgotten.
This performance was presented on "Ukraine's got talent" show by Kseniya Simonova and brought her win.
Kseniya Simonova is a sand artist from Ukraine, she lives in Crimea (South of Ukraine). Her great-grandfather was an officer of USSR army and defended his Motherland from horrible Nazi's invasion. He was killed in 1943 and Kseniya decided to devote her semi-final performance on UGT to his heroism.

woww... I never tire of watching this video, again and again ......
Excelent!
IMPRESIONANTE...
all of your art makes me feel like I am dreaming. It is very deep & full of emotion. Hope some day I will be able to see you and your art not in youtube but in real life.
So Beautiful and touchning!
Impresionante !!!
Espetacular (spectacular)! Incrível (incredible) ! Mágico (magic)! Único (unique)! Thank you from Brazil.

If you don't feel some emotion toward this even if you can't understand you should realize what she's doing

hktaitung.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1587 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It's the story of two lovers in Ukraine separated by the Nazi Invasion. The man is sent off to war whilst her home is bombed by the nazis. During the time she has his child, but eventually receives a letter telling her that her lover has been killed (thereby ageing her soul). After the war her child is growing and she keeps the memory of her child's father alive by never forgetting him and telling her child about him The story is one that thousands of people went through during WWII, but it hits really hard in ukraine, I think, because about a quarter of the Ukrainian population were killed in WWII (around 7 million)

+Jack Edwards Perfect explanation. As a 2nd generation Ukrainian living in the U.S., I grew up on the stories of my family's immense losses during WWII. These losses are still felt profoundly by Ukrainians to this day, especially now given the current state of affairs. Ukrainians suffered MASSIVE losses during WWII. Anyone who's Ukrainian grew up knowing how devastating this war was in particular on our people. I'm glad you're one of those people who gets it.
