you guys should start a “sister series” of rare hunters where the excess cards are used. like Larry and Trell make decks from the scraps you didn’t use. Larry uses from Paul’s pile while Trell uses Alec’s(or vice versa). it’d be like when Joey/side characters fight instead of Yugi.

The new overlay looks really cool! And thanks that you rotated the life points app so that it is easier to read it. In terms of feedback there is only one thing that comes to my mind. It is really fitting that you choose a red and blue theme for the border of your face cameras but it is a little bit confusing when Pauls camer has a blue border but plays on the red side of the field and Alecs has a red border but plays on the red field. Otherwise another entertaining episode, good job!

I cracked so many packs of this set. It was the summer I graduated high school and the last year I played Yugioh I had like 4 buddies we all played Yugioh during the day together then party with everyone else at night never mentioning Yugioh once lol. But this made all my weird decks work so much better than before

This series is so fun, Paul forgetting about the cursed seal on Pot of Greed, discarding it later for a Dark Core, then negates Alec's Pot of Greed by discarding his other Pot of Greed... just hilarious 😂 Loved watching the CHAOS unfold this episode, one of the best and funniest so far.

It sadly was. I also drew a second copy that very same turn, so what could have been a huge sacky swing turned into my downfall as I was forced to just hold them both in my hand for the rest of the game. At least they made decent discards... 😭😭

i LOVE the energy Alec brings to these duels, he's like the overly eccentric villain of the series!

Just so everyone knows, the guitar background music playing while Paul was opening his cards is the menu theme from the bakugan battle brawlers video game. I recognized it the second it started and got so distracted I had to pause the video and listen to it, the whole video had the ost and now I want to play the game

Alec's face down cards were a little hard to spot, but outside of that, the new set up looks sweet. Yall keep getting better and better !!

My favourite series on KZread at the moment. I adore old school YuGiOh - it’s so slow and luck based but I feel that makes it super replayable. I wish I could recreate this series with a friend😁

Right?! That n Paul discarding Pot of Greed when he did & what offed Man Eater Bug. Coupled with Alec's enthusiasm (energy?) & Paul n Alec getting to use their wagered cards, I muchly, thoroughly enjoyed this duel 😄

Both Pot of Greed plays had me dying from laughter! The end was also pretty exciting, lmao! If Paul brought back his swords, I wonder if things wouldve gone different.

Dark Magician of Chaos always had my favorite art in all of Yugioh...it looks so elegant and unique. I love this series so much!

its so fun to watch how the decks change, its like a snapshot of how the game progressed over time.

When the series gets to a finishing point (like a generation change [DM -> GX]), the Rare Hunters should duel Master Marik (Ra Deck?) as like an end-of-generation boss battle

Absolutely amazing episode! Man eater bug being lord-accurately disposed of. Pot of greed being locked for both players, but banishing a locked pot of greed. The two wagered cards going head to head at the end, with an anime like counter to win. Adore this series :D

Guardian Angel Joan is in this set🥰 The first foil beater in my fairy deck from way back when. Such good memories.

OMG so glad someone else remembers her! I ran her in my chaos decks since back then LP kinda mattered. I would bring her out with A hero Emerges half the time and just run over things.

6:30 So the Lec unironically ran into a rare hunter as a kid. Where was Yugi when you needed him?

My excitement for this episode was immesurable, great video guys!

Invasion of Chaos is by far my FAVORITE Yu-Gi-Oh! set of all time, all because of my all star favorite and most powerful card, Black Luster Soldier, Envoy of the Beginning! When me and my younger brother opened up our very first box of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, BLS was my absolute best card and I built my entire deck around him! I pretty much only used light and dark monsters, even over other clearly stronger cards not of those attributes just to guarantee a higher chance of always being able to summon him when I drew him! Within me and my friends' own personal meta at the time, this card was so centralizing that it influenced how most of them all built their decks in order to even be able to deal with my boi! I love him so much!

This is my favorite series from this channel, brings back some serious nostalgia.

Looking up the box prices post duel always blows me away you guys are doing great content and using the cards in a creative way keep it up y'all

*Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning* is a terrific OG monster card when I saw it in my childhood. Both Alex and Paul played good and used their Rare Cards in this Rare Hunters Duel. Thanks for another fun match.

IOC is my favorite set, I have been waiting for this episode the entire series

Invasion of Chaos was such a titan of a set in my young mind. For years and years it was "the set that changed everything". The fact that cards from the set still see some play is telling of its power level. I feel Roulette Barrel doesn't get enough respect here. Even at the time, I believe it was considered a fairly solid card. Strong defense, an excusable amount of attack, a free removal effect - though random - and a Light Machine! YOOOO That Cursed Seal comback tho. Love that we had a very real moment of "Let's stare at each other menacingly as if we have a plan but actually we both bricked lmao" moment. Alec's face at Paul's discard was incredible. I and everyone really appreciate the passion and enthusiasm you bring to this series. I'll say again it's one of the best on the internet.

We've been looking forward to this set for a while. I don't think either of us really considered roulette barrel until we needed light monsters. We both knew exactly what we wanted to hit with Cursed Seal Even if you don't have a plan your opponent doesn't need to know that! I still found a use for that PoG We really enjoy making this series and comments like these make me excited to do more

You absolutely have to keep this going for every box set up to the newest releasing sets

Actually, Paul couldn't use Pot of greed because he and Alec were unable to figure what it did.

These videos make me long for yu-gi-oh that is but a distant memory, and you guys are funny and entertaining to watch, great video!

FINALLY! whooh! this is how i remember the duels from my childhood. the duels from the anime. kaiba-boy vs pegasus and (totally legit) marik vs joey. multiple turn duels with highs and lows, back and forths multiple times a duel. not the current turn 4 win that the meta has devolved into.

Great duel guys! for some reason i knew paul would bring back PoG with MoF and forget about cursed seal hahahha! Keep them coming. Best series on the channel IMO !

The fact that you guys came up with this series shows your respect to the roots of this game. No one else is putting in this much work. Good work.

BLS-EofB is my favourite one, simply because of my history with it. I always bought my packs in a small local games and toys store (like a small living room in size packed to the brim with games and toys). After a few weeks the owner knew me very well. And he just set aside one pack per new set for me. I saved up my small amount of pocket money every week to buy some packs. The IOC pack he set aside for me had both Chaos Sorcerer and BLS in it, first edition as well. At locals everyone wanted to get their hands on it, but I just never traded it. I still have it now.

I remember this set from when my friends brought a whole box of this to school and we actually played with the cards, the sad thing is that I remember there was a BLS in it and it was pretty much wrecked. Also I find it funny that Bakugan Battle Brawler's Music is playing in a Yugioh game, I approve since the tune actually isn't that bad.

Seeing Terrorking Salmon made me smile, I played it with A Legendary Ocean at a few small "this game is popular, let's run a tournament" store events way back when.

I gotta say, I loved the Bakugan Battle Brawlers music in the background. So nostalgic XD

First of all I have to say I love this series. But hearing the music from the Bakugan DS game was a memory I was NOT expecting to remember today, it was a nice surprise

Hey guys love the show the only nitpick i have with it is you guys use black card sleeves and it blends to well with the playmat to the point where I can't tell if a card was there to begin with or not. But overall great episodes keep up the great work

Chaos Emperor Dragon won me plenty of duels back in the day, and Black Luster Soldier was the best thing ever imo. What a fun set of cards this was.

There's one card from IOC that I always wanted to see used - Spirit of the Pot of Greed. It lets players draw an extra card when they use Pot of Greed, but Pot of Greed was limited and then banned so none of its support cards were playable at all. But here, when both players have two? Maybe those or Jar Robber would actually work out.

I love how the thumbnail had Paul holding the Chaos Emperor Dragon but the video was like "lolz nope no chaos for u" Also loving the new setup for the duels. Still could benefit from seeing the Life Points under your headshots. If I'm watching this on mobile it's hard to make up on the numbers on your phon.

5:55 something similar happened to me when I was a kid actually. I had a Chaos Emperor Dragon that I pulled from this set, and a friend of my brother's (who was a couple of years older than me) convinced me to trade it to him for 40 "rare" cards. I was pretty upset when I later realized that he tricked me lol

This is my favourite progression type series I'm normally not a fan of them but this one is just better than most of them.

In the card opening segments, the background music was from the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game for the Wii and DS, but pretty sure the ones used in the video were specifically the Wii version. That made this video super nostalgic for me. And, the battle music too!

Best video series on KZread right here. Especially when it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh. This channel alone is responsible to getting myself into buying actual cards after decades of not playing with the actual psyhical cards!

Amazing series gentlemen, really enjoying these duels, takes me back to the old days.

i remember those times were you waited for your friend to summon a big monster just so you could use trap hole. then laugh about it. those 30 minute duels back in the day were you talked to your friends after school or weekends and caught up on what was going on in everyone life. good old simpler times. not like these duels that last 2 minutes with so much combos and done. good old times. 😥 miss those times. great duel you guys.

The one small thing I think would be a good idea would be to put the life point totals back on the sides of the screen. It would just be helpful to keep track of the progress in the duel.
