WINNER are widely known for their artistic capabilities as idols. they produce and choreograph. The amount of versatility they have shown in a short period of time is commendable. They debuted with r&b, switched it up with blues and rock for their comeback, went tropical for the next two and now they are back with everyday. WINNER debuted through a survival show called WIN(hence the name WINNER) held by YG and the other team they won against was ikon. they had 5 members but taehyun who was also their main producer left due to personal issues. Currently, they have 2 rappers and 2 vocals The first rapper is Mino- he is widely acknowledged as one of the finest rappers in kpop and has solos that everyone loves. He is a very atlented producer as well. My favourite solo songs by him are definitely fear, body and i'm him The blue haired guy is Seungyoon- he is the only kpop leader to also be the youngest in the group. He debuted as a solo artist before WINNER and hence is very popular among the general korean crowd. He is also very talented as a producer and a vocalist. The dude with dreads is Seunghoon- He is also a very talented rapper and often helps with song-writing. He is a very talented dancer and helps with the choreography. The brown haired guy is Jinwoo- he is the other vocal of the group and the oldest. I love Winner. They are talented boys with good songs AND amazing MVs. I love when a MV has interracial couples and girls of all races, it's important to me see this. OMG I am so pumped that you watched this !! Music -wise, WINNER is my favorite group aside from BTS. There are two vocalists and two rappers (the rappers can sing pretty well). Island is my favorite, favorite song of theirs; it has a tropical, summery vibe. Check it out. Really Really is a GREAT catchy song as well. You may vibe with it more than Island; I'm not sure, but both are worth a look.

Winner is awesome, and just to let you know, the rest of their songs are as good or even better. Yeah, there are other cool groups and solo singers in Korea that are worth to be checked out, I think that there's something to suit everyone's taste. But yeah, for me BTS is next level, from their music and artistry to their persona and how they are growing internationally like no other korean artist, breaking huge barriers like language, culture, race... I tend to have a bias towards artist that are involved in producing and composing their music but that's just me, that's why I dig Winner too. Winner and all their family from YG Entertainment (BIGBANG, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, iKON) are on different level in music taste and quality. the first guy with Burberry robe is rapper Mino, he have few solo songs and he will releasing solo album soon. Few years ago he participated in SMTM - rappers competition and won 2nd place (it's really hard and intense competition) If you want to know more about k rappers (more underground not kpop) i suggest this competition, there are big variety of rappers: new, old, most famous... Second blue hair guy is Yoon, with awesome heavy voice (love very much), he created big part of songs, third, cute guy is singer Jinwoo, and with braids is rapper/singer Hoon, he is very good dancer, give him any most stupid song and he become a dancing machine :D They all are 24-26 yo If you want something more epic please check Bigbang. 4 of 5 members now are in military, so they have a hiatus, but i hope those kings will back with a bigger power. they are crazy, they creative and like to experiment with music, styles... so don't surprise if you will see many different styles (12 years in show business, with such a high popularity, for idols it's a lot) They from the same company as Winner. That company outstanding from others cause encourage their artist creativity and what i like the most, that every member is personality, they don't try to make them like one.

I havn't been into to them in a while but their recent stuff and their ealier stuff is my personal favs. MOBB is a definetly and MIno has a few tracks i love as well, including his songs from show me the money (Its a rap show in which people compete and rap and make songs under producers ) Also, for some more hip hop i would check out MFBTY. They are major korean rappers who are very important in korean hip hop. lol I did a whole paper on them. ALso EPIK HIGH is also another one.
