Winkowski Volcano Unbox

Did some Black Friday shopping with NHS direct. This is my first order from them and they had a cool little sale and I copped the Winkowski Volcano. The art from TallBoy looks sick and the Purple and Orange pop really well. Hope you enjoy the video and here are the links to the products shown.

Stoked to hear yours is working out, K3NK. You put cruiser wheels on yours when you set it up? Which ones did you go with if so?

@@UnlawfulAssemblyMFGI went with some slimeballs, I don’t remember the name but I’m pretty sure they’re 60’s. I feel like I can’t take this thing anywhere and it performs great!

I have both the dope planets and I ride the bird cage. I think the volcano looks great but yea I agree you gotta ride them. Very fun shape and I am 41 I love the old school shaped boards for the riding I like to do.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Winkowski. Everyone I’ve talked to about that shape has been very impressed with it and how much fun it is to ride. I rode popsicles in the late 90s and early 2000s in the streets but when I starting skating more park I’ve felt more comfortable on shaped decks. How do you have the birdcage set up? What mm wheels? Do you skate risers?

@@UnlawfulAssemblyMFG Same here I started on a shaped board in the early 90s riding around the neighborhood but then went to popsicles from late 90s through about 2008 Then kinda stopped skating until my late 30s got back in to skating. I have ACE af1 66, Dragon formula 56mm, Psycho 1/4 risers and Reds Big Ball bearings.

@@wolfhands2508 Sick...How are you liking the AF1s? I've seen several irl and the upgraded materials and new build qualities look really good. Like to skate some 77s. How about the Dragons? I have a ripper i wanna build out soon and im thinking i wanna drop some Dragon formulas on it. Are the wheels good for park and transition? Or are they all hype?

@@UnlawfulAssemblyMFG The af1 ACE are awesome if you are trying to learn to ride bowls and transition like myself. Rises where a must for me on them and getting the tightness right, because they are insanely turny. So the Dragons are not going to be as fast as a 101A or 104B, that being said they are still plenty fast but the biggest pro for me as someone that use to put in 100 day seasons Snowboarding for close to 20 years and now has some knee and back pain from that. They allow me to skate more often and feeling much less beat up. They are by far my favorite wheels cause of that. They came out with a Dragon Rat Bone wheels and I have a Old School Ripper as well I want to put those on it. Just picked up a Tail Bone tail guard for it yesterday at my local shop.

@@wolfhands2508 You are preaching to a preacher my brother!! I worked in the snowboard/Resort industry for almost 20 years, myself. Instructing, on mountain safety and then terrain park crew member. The lion share of which was done on the hard snow and ice here in South West Pa. My knees and back know the pain you speak of. I was lucky enough to catch on in Colorado at Keystone with their park crew which had the "Vail Pass" so I got to ride some soft snow toward the end of my run. Thanks for the heads up on the Dragon Formula.. I have a more modern shaped Ripper I wanna build out and im eyeing up the Dragons for that. Im hoping they drop a red color way but I'll take the off white. Wouldn't mind seeing some gear or skate footage uploads if you ever get the urge. I subbed over on your channel so im hooked up and tuned in 🤙

Cruz missile II concave - Some say it's basically flat, others say it's a deep dish. Your opinion?

I have to put it in a soft middle...Its not the H-Street hell concave and its not dish concave of classic pig shapes. I like it on the Kendall shapes most of all. hbu ... Are you a Cruse Missile enjoyer?
