Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. In fact I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion sometimes where I am truly based.
I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree and I am currently working as a Project Control Engineer.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZread Channel and my full-time job as an engineer. I was also a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers and we actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011. I was also the Glee Club President and the singing trainer for various competitions when I was in the university which was a humbling experience for me.
Ever since, I started watching television as a kid, I realized that I enjoy analyzing and commenting on things related to singing performances. I believe this was the foundation of my interest towards making a reaction channel.
I am a self-motivated, and a disciplined soul. I am always keen to up-skill myself by learning new things whenever I get a chance.
My real strength is my attention to detail. I pride myself on being sensitive to the beauty of vocal embellishments, be it major or very subtle.
Most importantly, I keep my reactions real and natural.

To me Harapan is the most powerful, most beautiful, best melodies songs. Better than Shes Gone. This is my ultimate goal to be able to sing this as perfect as possible. I love the original version with higher pitch. When I reach the highest note it feels like F1 or supersonic.
nephi.. do you remember your reaction video of awie singing "halaman asmara" with ziana zain with amazing vocal range & clarity when he was young.. listen to him now when he was 50s.. he's even better... I know awie since i was little boy.. & awie still amazed me when he was 50s... what a lengend... I want world to know awie & wings .. to me they absolutely international level artist....tq for your reaction of my beloved idol..
In an interview, his band member once said they always prepare to perform more because Awie can be so crazy energetic.

once he has torn his larynx, I think way back in 1995-96... he got a problem with his tonsil and he failed to sing properly his song named di penjara janji at muzik2 semi-final... but he had 3 times medical operations to fix his larynx and now no one can challenge him... he is a legend
