    Thanks a lot for this awesome video Robby, especially for naming the equipment you are using so we can see the setup. Btw, most of us mere mortals would consider 22 knots on a wing/foil FAST! : )

    Due to some personal issues , I fell away from windsurfing for quite a few years. This advancement in technology is just staggering. This is the first I have ever seen this. Amazing. I can't wait to get out there and try this. And I can carry it all in a small car...btw, pulled out the VCR to watch RIP - still just as great as ever. Robby Naish hasn't changed a bit in 30 years as far as I can tell.

    I would ditch the touch screen smart watch. It tends to be a bit too fiddly in water. Go for something like a Garmin Fenix or comparable. Sturdy as hell too! I’ve had a Fenix 3 for the last 5 or 6 years and it’s been through all sorts of hell (from the backwaters of Gallipoli to the Netherlands during Storm Francis)....Not a scratch.

    Looks like fun. How hard is it to learn compared to windsurfing? Do you need a foil or is that optional? What is min wind speed? Where can I get one?

  • @dr.ericvanek2818

    @dr.ericvanek2818

    3 жыл бұрын

    I'll answer from my point of view (20yrs of kitesurfing, some windsurfing)- if you have tons of wind you do not need a foil, but the foil helps you get out in light wind, I would say its easier to learn than windsurfing because the gear is light & is trying to pull you up out of the water (windsurfing gear is by default heavy and pulling down toward the water when you are off balance)- very minimum is 10mph of wind, but for us mortals closer to 15mph is better
