Well done Sifu :) The analogy of “stepping on the gas while holding the break” makes so much sense. Thanks!

The 5 points of yin an yang, the 3 dantians, and the two points of attack were in my training today, I try not to watch too many of these but with the ones I do I try to apply it to my style. I don't kick yet, I'm trying to convince my self that a solid stance is important, however, I have found where it should go though. That's what I love about learning gojuryu. I thank you for your knowledge my friend, you are good.

I met a Choy Li Fut grandmaster in Vietnam who used the detachment as one of his methods of release jin (ging) too.

Looks good. Are the other 6 points of snake power taught in the year one course? Is snake also taught in year 2 course as well?

The snake strike can be used it muay thai (no gloves,) since they like using the high guard, the hands are already in position to drop.

Good video, stas and yoo too are great about this. But you should specify even the detachment "negative sides", like easyness to strain for beginners. Anyway: a good western pugilism school uses these engines too... in the last 200 years at least

Hello SIfu Sergio, This is a nice video. I remember one of the 1st things you taught in IWKA was the plum flower step. Now somebody whose name I won't mention here to make any propaganda, locate the 5 parts of the flower in a different position around the dummy. Not sure it makes sense to put the flower in a position of a cross around the dummy. I mean in front, behind, on the left, on the right, and under the dummy. The question is, does it make sense to put the flower in that position?

You are using the wrong interpretation of Buddhism Sergio. Remember, it is not about detachment, it is about recollection. Buddhism does not teach detachment as their interpretation was misunderstood as "No Soul" i.e. this is not the soul, that is not the soul, does not imply there is no soul. It just means that the soul is a consubstantiality of being i.e. when this is present, that is present. So, you are wrong about Buddhism and detachment, because it is about recollection. Sergio you need an education my man.

The crux of Buddhism is about knowing/mindful and letting go of worldly phenomenon that binds you to samsara that forms the Buddhist doctrine of non attachment. Perhaps Sifu used the wrong analogy, but i can see where he is coming from ie there is a connection; holding power within and releasing power within the concept of Buddhism.

Please, for your own sake, and for our sake, do all of us a favor and change the 'you' in your last sentence into a n 'I'. Then your comment makes sense. Open your mind and please don't try to define Buddhism is 1 word, it looks silly. and uneducated.

Sergio... FFS Time is not a thing in and of itself - it is an order of magnitudes - and space is the loss of inertia i.e. like a shadow from a tree, person, etc., and space definitely has no attributes, it only has properties in space, not properties of space. And you must define energy, not just say energy without definition. You are scrambling for meaning aren't you sir?! You might want to use the term "pressure mediation" to describe "energy" rather than saying energy and not demarcating the term.
